Blender/Unity size conversion to KSP

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to emulate some rocket pieces that are supposed to be 3.2m diameter, but when I follow guides on the forum (ie, 1 unit = 1.25m) my piece is too small. That is, my piece that is 2.56units wide, turns out to be very marginally larger than a 2.5m piece.

Either the guides I'm reading/listening to are wrong/old or there's an understanding regarding internal/nominal sizes vs actual sizes that I'm completely unaware of.

Is this something that has changed from pre 0.9 to 0.9 beta?

Is there an official conversion?
