How can I change my status?

I'm not quite sure what to call it but it says stuff like "Bottle Rocketeer" and same with the green bars? Sorry for the dumb question.

The bars you get when people give you reputation wich they can do by clicking the little sherrif's star on the bottom of thier post. As for the status that should be unlocked as you get more rep (anyone else correct me on this if I'm wrong)

No, the "status", as you call it, is entirely unrelated to reputation. We refer to it as a User Title, mainly because that's just what vBulletin (the forum software) calls it.

Reputation doesn't affect... well, anything. Just some pretty green bars, for all intents and purposes.

You can change your user title to a custom title by clicking the Settings link at the top right of the page, and then selecting Edit Profile from the menu at the left of that page.
