Question about purchasing KSP

I want to purchase KSP for my son and i was wondering if there is a way to purchase without doing it through steam. I found a site that is listing the game for 10.81 but i dont know if its legit or not. It states that you need a VPN to register it which tells me its not legit. However i really dont want to purchase through steam even if it is full price.

I started purchasing through KSP website but took me to paypal , paypal are thierfs and information sellers and do not like Telstra bigpond.com which is a legimate 50 or 515 government owned company, so when paypal said they had trouble with my isp in the past I immiedately went and purchased through steam at with steam if need a refund they have to give it to according to my countries consumer protection laws , I take on average 6 months for paypal to do anything which actually coinsides with how long it takes to make the purchase through bank interest, do not trust paypal
