No "Explore Dres" mission

So I've done all the "Explore X" contract apart from Tylo, looking through my archives it appears that I never got offered the "Explore Dres" contract. So I've got a couple of questions:

1. Do you get offered an "Explore Dres" contract?

2. When should you get offered it? My guess is after the Eve/Duna contracts are completed?

3. If the answer to Q1 is yes, then is there anything I can do to get the Dres contract to appear? Modify my save file maybe?

I believe you do usually get offered the Explore Dres contract, though it may not show 100% of the time. I'm not sure when it's offered, but I do know that if you have already visited the planet the contract typically fails to show.

That's a pity, from what I understand certain contracts won't get offered to you if you've already completed the target it sets you. This means that, for example, early on in the game if you manage to hit orbit then you get penalised as you won't be offered the orbit contract, which actually makes the game harder as you won't be able to earn as much cash from the contracts.

Dres is bretty boring anyway. Not much around it. It definitely needs some white spots.

After chatting to a few people in IRC, my theory of "If you've already achieved the objective, you won't get offered the contract" is wrong, as several people have pointed out that they never get the "Explore Minmus" contract offered, even though they've never even been in the SOI of Minmus.

Maybe it's based on acheivements and science level then, if you have aquired less than X science total and haven't been to Y planet, offer mission, otherwise offer harder missions.

Either way it's a bit annoying, although I see why it's done like that. If it were a linear progression (Get offered Mun contract, then Minmus, Duna etc) it might be annoying for people who don't want to bother visiting the closer planets/moons.
