2 issues---- Smoothly landed back on Kerbal, but cannot end fligt / in space cannot set course

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

need help one more time, since the game isn't giving me feedback in career mode.

First problem : In the space map I'm unable to set a course... Usually when you click the apothesis icon you get the "course-meter" (you know what I mean :) ) where you can click and drag to set a course for a orbit or something else... But I'm not allowed to do that in the career mode, nothing happens when I click the icon... Most likely I'm missing something... What is mandatory for being allowed to do that ?

Second, more bad at the moment :

I just came back from a nice orbital flight... completed two small missions in orbit, and then landed back on kerbal very smoothly. Only capsule left, no damage, kerbal alive... But now I cannot end the flight, i will bite my ass when I loose this progress.... What I tried : I cannot click the "recover button" or the "spacecenter" button above the alt-meter... Everytime I do, I just get the "no target" message. Also, when I hit ESC, I cannot "end flight" (that option isn't even in the list) and I cannot go back to space center, I can only revert, which would be really unfair.

Maybe related :

I landed very far away from my base, probably on the other side of the planet (in a big desert)... And I haven't actived the action (order) that allows recovery from far away... Is that the problem ? Yet still I should be able to end the flight and loose the kerbal itself.

Anyone know what is wrong ?

You need to unlock that by upgrading Mission Control and the Tracking Center in career mode, if I recall correctly.

Bur? This one is new to me. You might want to try quicksaving and quickloading (that sometimes fixes certain types of jams), HOWEVER, that might be dangerous. It sounds like you're bugged out there.

Thanks for the answer.... When I get the money I will update the tracking station (obviously you need both, tracking station AND mission control)...

No luck with my problem though :( F5 didn't worked, it didn't create me a save file... And when I hit quick load I was back at the spacecenter before the mission :( Bummer, but cannot change that ... But it was worth a try, thanks anyway :)

I'm not on steam. In this game I mentioned above I had actually quite some stuff at the capsule... 3 Parachutes on the sites, and on the top a radial something and another parachute... Maybe that stabilizer was the problem, the parachutes shouldn't be a problem.
