Is there a mod that allows you to attach parts in flight?

I remember seeing a mod that allowed you to weld parts together whilst in flight. I believe it also allowed you to blow things up with a directional helmet laser... Does anyone remember what this mod is? And if not, is there another mod that can fulfill this purpose?

Kerbal Attachment System lets you attach some small parts, but it might not be what you're looking for, no laser as far as I know. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/92514-0-24-2-Kerbal-Attachment-System-%28KAS%29-0-4-8-Fixed-for-0-24-2-x86-x64-%29

EDIT: There's also this fan-made Module Manager patch that lets Kerbals pick up larger parts, but I have no idea if it works or not: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/71683-A-Mechanic-Is-Jeb-or-KAS-For-Almost-Everything

As Norpo mentioned, KAS lets you move small parts, and "A Mechanic is Jeb" allows you to move more small parts. I use both.

MonkeyWrench lets you pick up even bigger stuff with KAS.

If you want to weld parts together in the editor, so your 500 part ship becomes 200 parts, that's UbioZur's Welding Mod.

If you want to build stuff in space, that's Extraplanetary Launchpads

The head laser was probably Lazor Systems

If you want to blow stuff up, also look at BDArmory or Skillfull

More explosions: Kaboom and TAC Self Destruct
