This is a short story about texture quality from orbit.

(Sherhat runs into the room)

The Director: Lt. Sherhat. Welcome. Sit down, and explain why you are here.

Sherhat: Sir, there is no time for sitting! You are aware of the Deep Space Photography Project, yes?

The Director: I'd like to think I am.

Sherhat: Well, it took this image!

The Director: Ah. Space is beautiful, isn't it? I remember signing up to Space Camp as a young kerb, and now I'm managing Queen Dehzu's Official Space Program. When did you-

Sherhat: Look closely! Can you see how poor the image is?

The Director: Oh. So it is. That's a shame, maybe it's a problem with the telescope's lens?

Sherhat: I wish it were like that Sir. I really do...

The Director: What are you on to?

Sherhat: Now look at this image, taken from Viewport 1A of the Destiny Station.

Sherhat: Can you see now? This is distorted as well, isn't it?

The Director: It is...

Sherhat: I could show you a thousand images! If you look closely, they re all distorted! I could take a picture of the grass and tarmac outside! Close up, it would be blurry!

(They go outside)

Sherhat (Inspecting the grass): Look at this!

The Director (Also inspecting the grass): Dear Kod... It is... With my own eyes...

Sherhat: Do you know what this means?

Sherhat: We are in a simulation!
