So whenever my rocket explodes on the launchpad (kraken attacks probably caused by massive size) and I try to revert, it wont let me. Or even go to space center for that matter. So I am forced to restart the game. I can click but it wont do anything.

I had a similar problem where the escape key did nothing. Do you have a mod that bundles Toolbar; that was the problem for me.
