Kerbin map from before 0.14.2

Kerbin's had a few beauty passes over the years, and I'd like to have a map of what Kerbin looked like before v0.14.2, when the terrain engine was overhauled into more-or-less what we see today (aside from art differences.) So basically, a map of Kerbin circa the old 0.13.3 demo.

Remember? THIS kerbin:

Does a map like this exist? Not one that sorta looks like it, but one that is exactly that. Like, I want to be able to map the texture to a sphere and have it look like that.

And yes, I have a project based upon this upcoming. Nothing to get too excited about.

(And while we're at it, the Mun for this version as well.)

I have the old game. But how would I make such a map? Would I literally have to do some real space-mapping techniques? That would be an interesting project if I had the patience for it.

Well I can think of three options

1) Find an old version of Mapsat or similar, if one is available.

2) Extract the map from the game files

3) Take a bunch of screenshots of the planet, and somehow warp and stitch them together into a single map.

I can verify that cantab's option 2 would have worked. I myself have extracted all the planet textures from 0.90 for personal use as EVE atmosphere textures (this can be used to make planets look overexposed from large distances).
