  1. This is the cinematic trailer for a new series of Kerbal Konquest which is a follow up series from War of K (All filmed in 1.0.5). It may be confusing for those who haven't seen the previous episodes and don't know the story but that shouldn't matter too much. I'll give you a heads up anyway: The war between the K.U.C and S.I has been going on for many years and the sheer numbers of the K.U.C forces begin to overpower the more technologically advanced S.I. As a precaution S.I. manage to procure a piece of tech that can alter the fabric of space and time. This trailer starts off at that point where the tech has been installed onto a large space ship with heavy ordinance. I learnt quite a few things while doing this trailer during the editing and doing kerbal green screen effects. I'd love to hear what people think and any mods you'd think would be good for a collaborative warfare series in KSP 1.1..
  2. Created a supersonic bomber that can drop gun drones onto a base at high speeds. Works surprisingly well I have to admit, I never expected it. Can change the timer with smart parts to have the parachutes open earlier or later.
  3. Created a missile battleship... that should really have been bigger to handle those huge cannons I added. In hindsight, not a great idea. Also if anyone knows the reason for KSP deleting crafts on physics load please tell me. The amount of times I load in a craft and 3 others disappear... probably the kraken but maybe someone else has a different idea. Please give a vote on what to do next if you can, it makes things clearer on what to build next. Also any extra ideas are good! Next week I will build a bomber but you get to choose the payload. 1. An automated drop pod that will drop down on the enemy and (hopefully) shooting all the way down. 2. Masses of nuclear bombs, civilian casualties to hell.
  4. I ended up creating the tank, quite a few people wanted it which was nice . Though it did require a lot of testing in KSP with armor and figuring out what is needed to get it to work. At first I though ablation was best but that stopped all damage until it reached 0 then it would be taken out. That sounds good but it wasn't very realistic as they ablation would slowly go down once you hit it and then would continue to go down regardless. Most of the calculations seem to be done on shell mass and collision tolerance. These are what are used to decide how much heat damage is transferred to the part. If the ammo is light then less heat is transferred, the opposite is true if it's a heavy shell. The crash tolerance reduces the heat damage further and that is like an "Armor level" value it seems.
  5. The next War of K video with the requested light tank... that I kinda hinted I wanted to make in the first place . Using North Kerbin Dynamics is amazing and after a little bit of tweaking I figured out how to make armor work better, deflect shells and generally last longer. Unfortunately it's not really shown too well here as the hover tank dodges EVERYTHING!! seriously, what couldn't they hit it? If anyone can tell me why the hover tank rolls around so much on hills please do. I have a feeling it's something to do with the meshes on the hills being rather irregular so the anti-grav parts aren't sure how far they really are away so they over compensate. Just my theory, hopefully someone knows the real reason.
  6. The cap idea comes from something like this. You can see it looks like the craft is holding 6 small missiles then 1 huge one blasts through to say "F*** You"

  8. As requested by viewers I made the GPS artillery system that has 36 rockets and 4 scud missiles to lay waste to bases. There were so many retakes with this as the camera resets when the missiles hit or a craft is destroyed. Keeping it in one place was tricky... hope I pulled it off satisfactorily. Choose what you want built next, the choices are 1. A helicopter to protect a base that has been taken (hide behind buildings, pop up and shoot) or 2. A fast tank with decent armor which may involve some config file editing. Full playlist here:
  9. Use the targeting ball or another targeting system. Aim at where you want to shoot and choose the "Send GPS" button. This will attach targets to the GPS locking system which can be used by other craft. After which you just use your GPS coordinator to select targets already marked and then fire.
  10. Gave myself a time limit to create and air defense system to defend against an attack from aircraft with laser guided missiles. Looking forward to 1.1 to improve multi craft support for stuff like this. Apologies for any bad language.
  11. The flat warhead sounds good though I'd be worried about it exploding on physics load or dropping off the back of the mine layer. You could also be terribly unlucky (or lucky depending on the side) and miss all the mines that have been placed as the tracks or wheels didn't touch it. The bounding mine sounds like a good idea, though, it is a bit part heavy for something you could have a lot of down... this would depend on the explosion size for the mine. The bounding are mainly anti-personnel for spreading shrapnel around an area (No idea if that is possible) so probably not as effective against tanks.
  12. Ah, I did think it sounded optimistic of them when I read about it. Though at 4mph it would have been easy enough to run up to and attempt to climb (if you weren't shot before getting there). It becomes more of a castle than a tank at that point.
  13. Loving this mod, just uploaded a video of the super tank named "The Gerbil" (Harpwner named it) . It just came to me, I know you're working on proximity detonation... could mines be a thing? A small proximity warhead that could be dropped off the back of a mine layer. Just needs to not blow up upon hitting the earth and only on proximity to the enemy team... or am I clutching at straws with the idea?
  14. I'm way too short with my sub and view count with my channel. Currently only have 6 videos on my though I'm working on something for Christmas once 1.1 is up and can get more stable filming without it lagging and crashing so often in 64bit. Will this be available again in the future? or is this the only opportunity that will ever show itself?
