Any good freeware editor for videos and photos for windows pc?

Do you guys know any good freeware video and photo editing software to edit videos and photos from my Gopro and one that can edit tablet photo and videos as will?And one that is easy to use?

For editing GoPro videos, what's wrong with GoPro Studio from the GoPro web site?

For photos, I usually use Picasa to edit and sort them and Paint.net if I need to do anything more fancy with image files.

Not sure if it'll be perfect for your purposes, but Lightworks is a pretty solid video editor, and is free with very few limitations. They do have a paid version, but you really don't get much more for the money.

Videos and photos? I don't trust software that claims to do both. Either do one thing properly or don't do it at all.

Mac - has something for everything, pretty much, built-in.

Windows -

For photos: I use Gimp.

For video: I use Avidemux, and sometimes VirtualDub.

For audio (not free): I use Studio One with an AudioBox USB and Audio Technica mics, but Pro-Tools is touted very highly by many I know.

Linux - has a lot to choose from, but I use AV Linux on a live disc... it's got everything, and then some, and I can take it with me anywhere I go.

For Windows, AppGeeker editor (www.appgeeker.com) would be a good start for you.

It is pretty decent if you're into making your videos all fancy and stuff.

And for Mac, I always use the default iMovie, it built in Mac desktop.

I haven't really done any research into "serious" video editing software, and as a result I use Windows Movie Maker for video. It's very basic, but IMO the few features it does offer it offers well.

I like paint.net for image editing. Way less powerful than Photoshop but enough for my basic needs and way, way easier to use.

I use Irfanview for basic image editing. It's fast, free, and very good at cropping, rotating and resizing/resampling images. It will also do color correction and a bunch of other stuff, but at that point I usually jump into Photoshop.

Would any of these suggestions be capable of doing F/X or Photoshop-style video editing. Like if I wanted to paste a Kerbal face into an existing video clip? I guess I'd have to break the video down and paste the face in frame-by-frame?
