Why the inclination of the craft it does not matter in the re-entry?

When we re-enter in the kerbins atsmosphere the inclination of the craft dont care. As all of we know when a real space re-enter in the atmosphere the angle can make the espacecraft burns in the atmosphere or bounce into a major orbit ass in the apollo re entry phase:

The apollo changes the inclination to break an later re entry.

Hi manuelasa, re-entry heat isn\'t yet part of KSP, but it is a planed feature, and when it is introduced we will need heat shields on our craft and the angle we return at will become important.

The best we have for now is this flaming heatshield mod but I don\'t know if it will work in the latest version of the game.

Atmospheric reentry is actually a very difficult problem. It\'s a real balance between 'reality' and a 'fun game.'

At the speeds a craft enters the atmosphere you get extremely high mach number gas flows. This results in not-so-simple calculations to do. You would say, yes drag or air-friction would create so much heat that needs to be dissipated by radiation or convection behind some mach cone at some distant from the capsule. This already requires gas compressibility calculations not to mention characterizing the planetary atmosphere beyond what I believe they have implemented.

But it gets worse, because the temperatures are so high, rare species of molecules start to form and reduce the amount of heating actually predicted.

Give them time - it seems like they\'ll make an approximation.
