KSP takes me about 15-20 Minutes to start since 1.1

Recommended Posts

I am having the same issue. It was previously a modded install, but it occurs without mods. Occurs with both 1.1 and 1.1.1. AMD compatibility, frameless, and all other graphic settings are not causing it. My graphics card settings have not changed. The problem is severe CPU usage during the loading of assets. KSP_x64 is doing -something-, but it appears to be stuck somewhere. I don't have a log because it does not generate one before I manually kill it, rather than wait 20-30m. If I figure it out, I'll be sure to post it here.

Running as admin does not help.

This means that KSP lost access to the graphics adapter, this can occur when alt+tabbing out of KSP during load, a way to avoid this is to alt+entry into windowed mode before cycling applications.

EDIT: No change and I may be confused as to what's in the store. the log reads KSP 1.1.1, but the installer is only half a gig and only includes KSP.exe. Regardless, admin run and different windowed and full screen settings do not fix this. I don't know what [WRN 11:38:08.816] [SpaceNavigatorWindows]: Could not initialize device.  means, but it might be the culprit.

You figured it out. Anytime there are multiple networks, even virtual ones, the game throws up it's hands. Homegroups, home networks, anything apparently can confuse whatever is trying to communicate within Unity. Very, very strange, and I'd like to know what exactly it's communicating about.

You have another network active. It may simply be between computers in your home or a homegroup, but anything beyond a single network connection apparently causes this. No idea why, hopefully Unity folks can weigh in on this.
