[RSS]Wired overheating near heavy planets

Recommended Posts

All the planets act like stars, spaceship get heated when getting close to the planets.

This one is a probe in 3000KM Earth orbit . It has been heated to over 1000K which is impossible.

Im pretty sure sunlight is not the problem , because when I moved the probe 300,000 KM away from earth and it stopped overheating.

Then I move the probe further away to Jupiter

Well, something is about to explode due to overheating

So clearly neither the sunlight nor the atmosphere causes this problem.

The only thing I can suspect is the local gravity who is 'impossibly' heating the craft.

Any fix?

Ah, so you don't actually know that this has anything to do with RSS. Your inclusion of RSS in the title confused me.

So, you've got a ton of mods installed, which means it could be just about anything.  This means that it's unlikely anyone can help you until you've done the work to figure out which mod it is.

I'd suggest that your best chance to get some help would be to start by narrowing down the problem to whichever mod is the culprit. Once you know that, you can post in that mod's thread.

To narrow it down, you'll just have to use a process of elimination. Try running with only half of your mods installed. If the problem is still there, or goes away, will then tell you which half of your mod list the culprit is in. Then just repeat, halving the list each time until you've got it pinned down.

I may narrow it down to RSS and RSS constellation. Things went badly after I installed those two. I will post something on RSS constellation forum

Its not a problem with RSS Constellations. It is and issue with Kopernicus, or rather, it was an issue with Kopernicus. Thomas P. posted an update for Kopernicus that fixed the issue. Download the fourth release of Kopernicus on GitHub and that should fix it.

EDIT: Oh it looks like you do have the fourth release installed. I have no idea what the problem would be then.

I do love RSS Constellations and will love to try it out with KSPI , but now I have to uninstall it to keep the game playable. Hopefully a friend of mine would find something in the log

I've noticed the same problem now. Revert to Release 2 of Kopernicus and see of the problem persists.
