  1. A HUGE thank you to @micha for keeping my mods alive. I'm still very busy with my studies so I can't return to this for the foreseeable future. But my work is still partly space related. My Boss and myself are currently running a crowdfunding campaign to get some funding for our research on Ethics of Planetary Sustainability, feel free to check out the project http://www.planetarysustainability.unibe.ch/

  2. I’m very busy with my studies at the moment. That’s the reason why I can’t maintain the mod at the moment and in the foreseeable future. But you can use the build of this mod that is maintained by @micha Nehemia Engineering Orbital Science by micha He supported me during my last updates. So he is familiar with the mod and I trust and thank him for keeping the mod alive. I still have some ideas for future updates, but I haven’t even the time to play just 1 hour of the new KSP updates. But I hope I can return to KSP in the future.

    Greetings Nehemia

  3. Hello everybody, here’s a short update. Next week on Tuesday I’ll take my last exam for my bachelors degree. After this exam all that’s left is celebrating. :-) The good news is that I’ll plan to work on the mod in august. So you can look forward to an official update and maybe even some new experiments in the near future

  7. I hope you all enjoy the 1.0 release of KSP. I’m currently in Germany to finish my Bachelor's degree. Because of that I had no time to test the new KSP version and to test my mods with the 1.0 version. Kudos to Micha for the unofficial fix.

I’ll update my mods but I have to finish some papers for my degree and to plan my move to Bern where I’ll continue my studies in fall and in addition I need to look for some money to live on. I’m a gamer too and I know this sucks but I just don’t have the time right now. But I still love KSP and the community and a have some ideas for some additional parts and experiments. Please be patient.

  11. That's strange the 2 different exceptions are confusing. My first guess is that some how you have multiple experiment definitions, because the exceptions are complaining about a duplicated key. But I'm not sure why you would get this error when parsing the esc1 config file. The experiment definitions are in the Resource folders (e.g. NehemiahInc/Kemini/Resources/Kemini_Experiments.cfg) make sure you have no copies of those files in your installation.

  12. I am trying to perform the POSA I experiment. I get it set up and start it running. I go back into my capsule and wait for the experiment to complete. I am in an 71 peri 150ap type orbit. At some point, not sure where I am, I get an failure message for the experiment saying that I have change location. Well of course I have I'm in an elliptical orbit travelling very fast. Naturally my location is changing. Should I be in a Keosynchronus Orbit? Or what? I love your science mods. They add a great deal of variety to the game.

The location refers to the "science location" your orbit probably moves from "low in space over Kerbin" to "high in space" I don't know the number by heart. ExplorerKlatt is right, try a less elliptical orbit. And I'm glad you like the mods.

  13. Nehemia hasn't updated the mod for KIS compatibility yet. Use KAS to grab the experiment and store the result in a command pod if you don't want to return the experiment holders back to Kerbin.

That's it. Sorry for the delay but I'm very busy right now. The contract system for KEES is older than KIS so it can not support it. It support any kind of KAS containers.

  14. Does the irradiance scanner in the 'pie wedge' container the same as the D7 experiment? D7 was described as using an irradiance scanner. If it is NOT the same then never mind. If it IS the same using the 'pie wedge' stored irradiance scanner does not update the contract when used. I think it may be a misunderstanding on my part.

It is not the same, the wedge part is from DMagci's mod.

  15. Glad to see this featured, hope to see more mods and (maybe) an expansion to this.

Contact me if you want me to write up more results for this into my "mod", link in sig.

It took my some time to realize what you are talking about. KLS is featured in Modding Monday! :)

I plan to expand the mod, there is still space in the Kolumbus-Lab. I'm really busy right now, I hope to find some time during the summer break.

  16. Really enjoy the mod. Are the experiments able to be done around different bodies for more research? I attempted this then brought the experiment back to LKO, transferred it to a return vehicle and then finalized it before landing. The experiment said it had been done in Kerbin orbit. I wondered if this means wherever you finalize it is where you get xp from, or if it just only gives credit for being in space and location doesn't matter.

The location were you finalize it is the one that determines the location in the science report and the amount of science you get based on the location.

  17. First check if you have the "Experiments" folder with the "Kemini" folder and that it contains the experiments part files (e.g. D5.cfg). The experiments are part with no category so the should not show up in the VAB part list but the should show up in the tech tree or in the part list in advanced mode for example when sorting the list by tech level in level 2 and 3. Or you can use the Debug Tool Bar to check the part database for does parts.

If you have the files installed but the part don't show up please check the log for errors during part loading.

  18. Hmm, maybe you fixed this for .60

But now with OMS .61 CKAN is again freaking out cause "Nehemiah Science Common" is not installed, so it cant continue installation.

PLEASE either stop interlinking your mods, so I can install just one or two of them, or get rid of all these little interlinking mods and just make an all-in-one.

    Another note....

I got a contract to do and experiment... "MH3 ...something. Ok, so I go to my VAB and start building a ship to do the mission.....

Hmm, I cant fine "MH3____" in my science parts in VAB...... I eventually figured it was a bug, I had not unlocked the part (Dooh!)

And scrapped that mission and worked on another contract.

I now realize (From seeing your video on the OP) that it was a Command Pod Experiment.

IF POSSIBLE, include in the contract a note, message or something IDing where the experiment is taking place. (CP, MSL with CIR, MPL-600 with MSG, MSL with 3PR etc)

[its possible this info was in the contract and I missed it, if so then please disreguard, it was a long day slaving over hot SRBs]

P.S. When I try to install "Nehemiah Science Common" with CKAN it says oh no its trying to overwrite OMS, Not gonna do it...

I just tried installing the mod with CKAN and it worked perfectly. All I do is defining the dependencies and what to download and which folder should be copied. Then the NetKan-bot picks up the update's from Kerbalstuff automatically. CKAN normally resolves dependencies automatically so the missing "Nehemiah Science Common" should be installed with OMS.

Your contract probably said Run experiment Kemini MSC3: ..... The Kemini research program uses the Command pod. I guessed that naming the research program would be sufficient. I can add an additional note on what equipment is needed. I can't promise when I'm going to do that. Because I planned the rework and expand the contract system for the next release. But right now I'm busy with RL.

  19. Hello, the ESC series of science containers seem to cause consistent physics stuttering, something along the line of a ~0.7s block every ~1.5s. The more of the containers, the longer the stutter. It makes the game unplayable. I tested by just placing a single ESC 4 container on the pad loaded with various experiments: Lags slightly every ~1.5s. A fully loaded rocket with all possible science payload increases this to a total block every ~1.5s approx. I'm using a lot of other mods but given that I haven't even left the pad, they (FAR and DRE) should not affect the physics calculation that badly.

I released an update that improves the performance, this should fix this.

  20. Hey, I love the mod - more realistic experiments are always cool. But whenever I load one of your experiments into the pod, on launch (And for the whole mission sadly) it runs at about half FPS. It's weird - there's no textures, no parts, so nothing should be making my computer suddenly start chugging like an ancient coal-powered IBM or something.

I have a performance improvement in the making right now. It should be released in the next days.

    Edit:

The performance update is released now.

  21. Hmm, I installed OMS 0.6 and 'all in one parts' 1.1 but I see no parts in my game?

Then you have the NehemiahInc folder and the ModuleManager.dll in you GameData folder? If yes, have a look in your log file, there you can see all the files loaded and errors during loading the configs.

BTW: OMS 0.6 is part of the NehemiahEngineeringResearchProgram.zip you only need the later. Otherwise it will overwrite the OMS files with identical copies, no harm in this but no profit either.
