  1. I've got a small issue, which I'm sure has been addressed before but my searching skills in this forum are apparently... lacking. Anyway, I have a clamp-o-tron senior docking port attached to a K&K Planetary Central Hub from the Kerbal Planetary Base Systems mod. The docking port is no longer needed (it attached to my sky crane) and I'd like to remove it. But when I attempt to detach or grab, per KAS, it's weight is the entire station rather than just the docking port. I the K&K storage unit right next it used to have a docking port on it, which I successfully detached. So I don't think it's an issue with the KAS and KPS mods not working well together. Rather I suspect it has to do with the Planetary Central Hub being the "root" for the station, and the docking port likely being the last "control from here" point. Any suggestions on how to detach and remove this docking port? Thanks. <Edit - add solution> I love how making a post like this seems to instantly solve the problem! <sigh> Anyway, for future browsers, the trick ended up being detaching the big old planetary central hub, rather than trying to detach docking port. The docking port literally flew like 20 feet away. After which the tracking station reported that I had 2 bases on the Mun, 1 being the docking port laying on the ground.
  2. I made a wonderful mun mining base and mun orbital base. I have flown many missions to pick up fuel from the mining base and carry it up to the orbital base. The orbital base, in turn, serves as a refueling base for my deeper space missions. The problem is that each mining base to orbital base takes about 2 hours real time, and it takes 10-15 missions to fill up the orbital base. So about 20-30 hours total to get my orbital station full and ready to supply a deep space mission. I've become a space trucker, and I'm not having fun anymore! I want to "cheat" and fill my orbital station up with fuel w/o having to run those 10-15 missions. The infinite fuel cheat isn't what I want. Or at least I don't think it is. I just want to fill the orbital station, but have my other missions have to rendezvous and refuel as normal. I just am SO tired of running the mining base to orbital base mission over and over again. Can anyone offer some advice? A mod? Or maybe a save file edit?
  3. Interesting. The example using the RCS makes sense. But I never really think about pushing or pulling the have marker. I just think about rotating my ship along one of the axis. Is there some sort of benefit to using the push-pull metaphor?
  4. I keep seeing forum entries saying things like "push retrograde, pull prograde". What exactly does this mean? I can see how rockets (or jets) push a vehicle, but darned if I can figure out how to "pull" a vehicle.
  5. I know someone else MUST have noticed this. But I couldn't find a previous thread touching on this subject. So I know folks believe that money in career mode is too easy. But today I figured out how to basically have unlimited funds in career mode. I keep getting contracts for "Science around <YourFavoriteCelestialBody>". Usually only worth 1-10 science depending on the planet targeted. But usually worth substantial cash. So I parked satellites, with lots of solar panels and batteries, around each of planets, moons, etc. Now when I get the contract, I just jump to the appropriate satellite and transmit the current temperature back. I just made $450k in about 5 minutes. I'm pretty sure this is not what the developers intended. And it likely needs to be fixed.
