I'm guessing here, but with NO2 being relatively easy to liquefy and handle in that state the realistic comparison (where ease of use is the prime factor) would be liquid NO2 vs pressurized O2. That would make NO2 more space-efficient than O2 at the cost of every other efficiency metric. Could be it, cryogenics are a ..... after all.

Episode 1 and 2 have finished, the atmosphere has been escaped and with 405 funds in the bank a very bare-bones sputnik made orbit! BTSM has been dropped due to the combination of FAR and DRE making the first possible mission borderline impossible, same as the subsequent ones. All the other mods are intact and DebRefund was added to properly refund spent stages with parachutes on them. Fun was had, stream is offline for now, until next time!

Hello funky viewers! After my KSP to Mars and KSP Contracting series here comes KSP Live! Episode 0 is just about to go live so check on in to check it out! What I'm attempting is to shoehorn the twitch.tv stream interactivity into the YouTube episodic format. Each stream will have an objective that we'll strive to meet, the process of which will then be exported and archived to YouTube for later viewing making it interesting to watch both live and syndicated (hopefully.. at least). I'm currently scrounging up a bunch of mods to use, I'm aiming for a realism oriented career-push with a heavy focus on money and safety (should be something else eh?). Local favorite mod Realism Overhaul isn't quite up to 0.24 standards yet so today we're starting out with BTSM and the usual suspects such as FAR, DRE and so on. Purpose of Episode 0 'What's this about?' is to allow you viewers to chime in and champion mods you'd like to see. Head on over to the stream to pitch in: http://www.twitch.tv/donlorenzo42/ Or view everything at your leasure at my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/onderzeesteen Have fun and hope to see you in chat! Regards, Lorenzo

It's been a while but we're back to streaming with the release of 0.24! Enjoy!

I reckon none of that is needed. The payload is such a small fraction of total rocket mass already that an order of magnitude reduction in that doesn't change things dramatically for the first stages. I'm sure the upper stage was calibrated and throttled to fit the payload and target orbit, but that's something that they surely always do

Reason I'm asking is that I've always sort of strived to stick to 20-30 minutes, but recently some missions and their videos have taken upwards of an hour and they're being watched all the same. I always sort of thought that people wouldn't go for that. Apparently it really doesn't matter too much, and I suppose people can segment their own time just as they please, chopping things up into smaller bits as their schedules demand.

Hey Guys, No videos in this thread, just a fairly simple question which I'd like to poll everyone that likes to watch KSP videos on. How long do you like your videos to be? Do you prefer short videos which focus on one or two things, or do you like drawn out 'story type' episodes that can last up to an hour but will cover a whole sequence of things (say, a full mission involving several ships). On a related note, do you prefer more frequent short videos, or longer but less frequent ones. Is there a length-limit that will put you off from watching it in the first place? Or will you give a 90 minute video a shot and tune out if it isn't interesting enough? I'll append a poll for your 'ideal length', but i'd welcome some feedback on the other questions also. Thanks for your input! Cheers, Lorenzo

Giving this a watch when I get back home! It sounds similar to my KSP to Mars series, and that had some pretty serious hurdles! -
