1. Looks pretty cool, but then again if i just wanted a carrier that works i would have downloaded the Boats part pack. I also happen to be a more creative type of person so i like to do as many thing with as few mods as possible, so thats why i like to use mod packs that can be used for pretty much anything i make, like B9, KAX and Firespitter.
2. That is just the kind of design I was first thinking of when I started the design of the carrier, but the problem is that its not much of a carrier if it cant: store, maintain, rearm and refuel aircrafts, for that you need the hangar deck. So I am actually planning on making a carrier out mk-4 fuselage pieces and with the help of tweak scale. The plan of course is to make it as big and part friendly as possible and have a hangar deck for storing aircrafts. But still, just having a floating runway big and less laggy enough to land an aircraft safely is always cool.
3. As you can see from the first pick it has 382 parts. And that is the reason why i used B9 structural panels instead of stock parts, i wanted to save on part count to make it less laggy.
4. Here is my latest and most succesful take at an aircraft carrier, the K.N.S Great White aircraft carrier. I got inspired to make my own carrier after i saw some people make some stock carriers using MK-3 fuselages as the deck and the hull. I tought about making my own MK-3 carrier and even had an idea of making a carrier using the MK-4 fuselages to save on part amount. But not long after this thinking i tought that lets just make a carrier using B9 structural plates and MK-2 fuselages. And the results where pretty good. The carrier has a top speed of about 27-30 m/s so its not that fast (well ok its pretty darn fast for a carrier), but it does turn around very fast using the thrust reversers of the Goliath engines (action group 2 and 3). You can see the part count and the dimensions on the pick below. So as you can see its not the biggest thing around here. But i do get a steady 25.0 fps when piloting this and other aircrafts around this carrier so its not too bad in terms of lag. NOTE: dont use physics warp with this thing or your framerate will get locked up to 12.5 fps (it happened to me unfortunetly). Dunno why this happens but it just does. And here are some picks of the carrier itself. It settles down on the water very smoothly and pretty much straight as an arrow. Plus it doesnt start to list to any side when manouvering with aircrafts so all and all its a very stable design. But unfortunetly because on the non symmetrical design it wants to slowly turn on one side, but this can be corrected by turning the maximum thrust down on the other side engines by about 20% each. Fun fact: The design/shape of the flight deck is actually inspired by a Lego micro build/moc that i did some time ago. It might not be the best design ever but it works. Havent yet tried parking multiple aircrafts on the deck so im not sure if they fit on the parking area on the side, and still leave enough room for takeoff and landing. And here you can see the nice lights of the carrier. I have to say that it came as a complete suprise that the carrier was able to turn this quickly. Thats the carrier taken care of so now lets look at the couple of carrier aircraft that i made for the carrier. First we have the KF-44 Sea raider, witch is a small strike fighter for pretty much any purpouse. I think ill let the picks do the talking on this one. I had to turn the quality down to make landing a bit more easyer, but i dont think it helped at all since the B9 parts dont have any LODs (level of detail). Aka i got 25.0 fps at half res and eight res, so yea. The aircraft has the ability to glide even at a speed of around 30 m/s. Plus it stops very quickly and takes off at the speed of around 30-35 m/s making it the perfect carrier aircraft. I also made the tail rased so there is no risk of a tail strike durning takeoff and landing. Manouvering on the deck is handled by the engines (forward), landing gear (steering) and with a couple of RCS thrusters (reversing). And we are ready for takeoff. It only took me two attempts to make a succesful landing and takeoff from/on to the carrier with this aircraft. The next challenge would be to land at night time on IVA view. Next up we have the KLB-Harbinger (cause it reminds me of the Harbinger gunship from Red Alert 3 Uprising) witch is a design that works well as a regular aircraft but is a bit too hard to land on the carrier. I meant the harbinger to be a Tactical bomber operating from the carrier but turns out that it didnt work as well as i would have hoped. I tried to land 6 times on the deck, i got close a couple of times but ultimetly i gave up cause i tought it was a bit too difficult. So close. I was moving a bit too slow and was coming from a bad angle so i wasnt able to pull up in time. This time i was moving a bit too fast and hit the deck too late, plus i was coming from a wrong angle so i hit the crane and broke apart. The biggest problem for me with this aircraft is its speed (has a top speed of about 1.0 Mach) witch can be a bit hard to control. So i hope you enjoyed this creation of mine. 5. Here is a project of mine started that started its life as a Harbinger gunship (Red Alert 3 Uprising) replica , but later on turned in to a custom designed aircraft. Not long after i started the build i noticed that making a stock replica of the Harbinger was a bit too difficult since the design that i had looked a bit silly with the cockpit being way out of shape and the engines being way too small and the way too big, plus the rudders looked a bit rediculous after i had made them. the aircraft performs really well: its very manouverable and has a top speed of about 230 m/s in low altitude. Its also pretty much rock solid when you put the sas on making aiming with the 2 howitzers very easy from long range. It can takeoff at a speed of about 55 m/s but be careful when you do this cause if you pull up full, the rear will hit the ground and it will blow up. The picks below are for the gunship version witch is armed with 2 howitzers on the left side and a vulcan minigun at the nose. it also has a camera on the bottom for aming when in IVA and it and the Troopship have 8 seats in theb cargobay. I also made a stock version of this name the KTP-100 Troopship. As you can see its easy to hit targets even from a long range. But when you run out of shells to fire you can always use the vulcan minigun. Also it very useful for taking down small fast moving targets like helicopters and fast scout cars or even other aircrafts. After around 11 to 12 minutes and 100 shells fired away the KSC was no more. The only thing that was left standing where the flagpoles and a single little building. I have to say that i think the gunship is a much better and efficient way of taking down ground targets than a big heavy bomber like my KHB-52 (full size B-52 replica). So i hope you enjoyed this crazy creation of mine . Now excuse me while i go and mend the KSC back into shape. 6. And remember kids, dont build banners in to the backs of your aircrafts cause, well.........this: In order to take that shot i needed to fly with hacked gravity on and i also had some rcs thrusters to keep it from doing infinite loops and i was still having troubles keeping it steady. Anyway, have a very fun christmas guys and a happy new year .
7. Thanks . YWV Thanks. Yep i have about 20-30 frames/second when using these aircrafts, so its not too bad.
8. Here is a collection of some of my older commercial aircrafts that vave been in the forum before, and cause the old posts are broken now its time to do a new one for these. This basically proves that i have two thing i love more than anything in this game and that is: The Tornado series of aircrafts and big cargo and passenger jets. This time there are two passenger aircrafts and one cargo aircraft. They are all bigger than 50x50 m so they are some of the biggest ones ive made so far. The first one i will be talking about is the KTP-80 Stratocarrier, a cargoplane for heavy hauling. With a size of 65x61x15 its very big but not at all slow and sluggish as you would have expected. The aircraft has a top speed of about 230 m/s making it pretty fast for its size, its also very manouverable and very responsive. The version you see in the picks has B9 lighting and flags but the version that is up for download is fully stock. Here are some picks of it in action. These picks where taken at night time cause everytime i have lights on my aircraft i cant help but to fly at night to see them better. It takes off pretty quickly at a speed of 50-55 m/s and is still controllable at a speed of 60-70 m/s so it makes landings and takeoffs a whole lot easyer. As you can see it very easy to land this thing on the island airfield. Infact it can do it so well that, you dont even have to do any reversing or turnarounds. Just land and takeoff. Next up we have the Koeing 747 (a 747ish replica obviously). In terms of how it flyes its pretty much the same as the KTP-80. It takes off at the speed of 60 m/s and has a top speed of around 240 m/s so again its very similar to the KTP-80 The Koeing 747 is smaller than its real life counter part with the size of 54x57x17. The 747 doesnt really serve any purpouse other than just being a showoff aircraft but cause i like to do everything big i ofcourse had to make an SCA version of the aircraft. So here are some pick of it in action. Its defenetly not a perfect replica but looks close enough for my taste. This one is a bit special since this one was done almost right after the transition to 0.90, so i was a in a bit of a shock when the hiding canards trick didnt work anymore (it does but you have to leave a bit of then exposed open air, but i didnt know this back then), so i had to instead rely on a new technique witch was layering wings witch ended up working out quite nicely. so it flyes without having a dozen canards inside a cargobay out of sight. This time i had to do some ground manouvering to get myself off the island but with the thrust reversers its no big deal (Squad should really make the medium gears steerable and put some wheel turning animations). And here we are carrying the orbiter. The aircraft doesnt really even notice that it has an orbiter on its back, its just a bit more slower in speed. The orbiter you see being carryed By the 747 SCA was done in 0.25 so thats why i doesnt have any of the new wings and engines meant for the orbiter. And cause why not. Noething to see here just normal flying, its all part of the routine. And finally we have the Koeing 1011-SST Klipper. The SST Klipper is based on the Boeing SST Clipper witch was there proposal for a supersonic airliner for the American market. Ultimetly it was cut and i think the only physical thing left of the program was a 1:1 moc of the aircraft. So as reference i used one of those Revell 50th anniversary model kits of the aircraft. It can takeoff at a speed of about 80-85 m/s and has a top speed of about 250 m/s in low altitude. So it is faster than the two and has better rolling capabilityes but is not very good in terms of pitch control, aka it can start losing altitude when doing turns. So there you have it, 3 big aircrafts from my collection. I might make a post for all my modded airliners and AWACS aircrafts. I hope you enjoy them . PS. i really dont like the fact that whenever i put down emoticons they delete the whole row of text behind them so thats why i dont really use them, in case you where wondering. 9. Thanks . Yea thats a bit of a broblem when you use swept wings as the leading and trailing edge of the wing, they dont really match up with the inside of the wing.
10. Here is one days worth of building, testing and having fun. The idea of making a B-52 replica craft was running around in my head for a while, but now i tought was the time to finally do it and man was it a long Project but also very fun. Im lying a bit when i say its completely stock since the main version uses the Marble-8 cockpit from the SXT Stock eXTension pack, but other than that its fully stock and i also made a version with the stock cockpit. At first i wanted to make a B-52ish aircraft, but not long after i started building i tought that why dont i just make a proper replica of it. It ended up being almost about as accurate as it can get, aka the aircraft is only one metre off in lenght and a couple of metres off in height. Wingspan is the same as in the real one. It is slower than the real one By quite a bit, i tried to fix this By putting engines inside one another but it caused over heating issues and was not worth it (i only got around 30 m/s more speed). So here are the stats of it in the pick below. The aircraft feels and flyes like a big aircraft should fly. For an aircraft of this size it has pretty amazing pitch authority but is slow in roll control, so take it slow and steady and dont do sharp turns or youll end up recreating the infamous B-52 airshow crash like i almost did. With a top speed of about 180-200 m/s in low altitude its pretty nippy but not a fast as the real thing (top speed of the real thing is about 260-270 m/s). There are currently 4 version of this aircraft: the one in the pick above is the main version with the RATO system but no weapons. Secondly there is the all stock version witch is the same as the main version except for the switched out cockpit and the flags being removed. Thirdly we have the BD version witch is the all stock version without the RATO system, but instead has 24 MK-85 bombs and 6 cruisemissiles for taking down ground targets. It also has a defensive tail gun. Lastly we have the KSP version witch is the main version with a K-15 (X-15ish) rocketplane under the wing instead of the RATO system. SOME NOTES ABOUT FLYING THE AIRCRAFT!! First of all before you takeoff you need to click on the main cockpit and say control from here since it for some reason wants to make the rear gunners cockpit the default one from where to fly the aircraft. Its probably caused By the fact that i started building this from the fuselage so it would be easyer to switch out the cockpit to the stock one. If you do not remember to do this you will have no yaw control and your other controls will be reversed. Other note is that the engines will start overheating about 6-7 minutes after takeoff but if you fly with 2/3 of throttle the engines wont overheat. It pretty amazing to think that the engines are still overheating even altough i have 2 small radiator panel and an engine precooler for each engine. I suspect that the precoolers might be the source of the problem, but im not sure And try to avoid making the same mistake as i made when i released the K-15 rocketplane, and that is that i pointed the nose down and this happened. Lets just say that we had a minor........ehm collision. So point you nose up a bit before separation and you will be just fine. Here are some picks of it in action. First we have picks of the main version of the aircraft. Its able to takeoff pretty quickly with the help of the RATO boosters witch have 24 "Twitch" engines each so they last for a very long time before they burn out. And here are ofcourse a couple of picks to show off the looks of the aircraft. There you can see pretty clearly the Radiator panels glowing red hot. And yes there are a dozen canards "hidden" in the fuselage to make the aircraft fly better. Originally i was going for a more traditional tail design (2 adaptors and a nosecone) but i tought it would be a better idea to go for a more realistic tail section. IT looks pretty good but is a little "twisty" unfotunetly. Next up we have the bomber version. Should be enough for one days destruction. I put the bombs in to 6 4 bomb groups to make sure that i actually hit the target. Releasing them all at once is way too inaccurate and releasing them one by one creates too big of a spread plus we dont have enough action groups. Bombs away. Thats a hit. This time i more than just scratched them. Finally we have our special mission of carrying and launching the K-15 rocketplane. It went suprisingly wekll considering that i got it right in the second try. Guess i might as well say a couple of things about the K-15. It flyes well in a straight line, it has a top speed of about 600 m/s, it brakes apart at a speed of about 700 m/s and is inspired By the X-15. It flyes terribly in the sence that when you lose control witch you do stupidly easily, its all over. Even when i had 3000 m of altitude left i still couldnt get it under control, but luckuly i installed some paraschutes cause i knew that it would be pretty hard to land. Other than the fact that the takeoff is a bit of a challenge, it all went nice and smooth (on the second try). I ended up flying so far away from the plane that it despawned so there was no need to land it back on the runway. So there you have it, the KHB-52 Stratobomber. I hope you enjoy it . Mods used: KXT for the cockpit and BD armoury for the bomber version. The download package includes all 4 versions of the KHB-52, the rato booster as a subassembly and the K-15 as a craft and as a 3 piece subassembly. 11. This is the boat you saw being carried around By the KTP-90 Seahopper. At first the idea was to create a boat that would work and could be carried on a cargoplane, but then i had an idea, why not turn it in to a seaplane that could turn into a boat. So this happened Separation at around 50 m/s Landed. And full speed ahead straight away. The boat itself is very fast and manouverable and robust aswell, so it can pretty much take on anything. And it also flyes very nicely and quickly while in plane mode. So i hope you enjoyed it . Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/eucu8lvtd4rl9qq/x-50%20%28plane%29.craft?dl=0
12. Here is my take at seaplanes, the KTP-90 seahopper. Its capable of landing and taking off from land and water and can carry kerbals and rovers and whatever else you can come up with. Here are some picks of it in action. To show off the abilites of this aircraft i desided to fly a boat in to the waters near the island airfield. The bot is loaded up and ready to go. It ended up being a pretty tight fit, but at least now it wont be bouncing up and down and all around inside the cargobay. And we are up. So far so good. A little top down view of the aircraft. I originally had 4 smaller engines on the wings like they would be on the De-Havilland Comet. It worked but they where way too fuel hungry, plus they had overheating issues. So later on i added the goliath engines on top and the Shuttle engines for use as takeoff boosters when taking off from water. The design ended up looking a lot like the Beriev Be-200 witch was not intensional but i like the design of it quite alot. Almost there. The landing went very smoothly, noething broke and the boat made it in one piece. And here we are then. Now with the addition off the thrust reversers its easy to unload the boat and also very easy to manouver around in water with the aircraft. Now there is noething left to do but to takeoff and land and park into the hangar. You dont need more than a very short boost from the engines (about 1800 kn of extra thrust from those shuttle engines), so there should be enough oxidizer for 4-6 takeoffs. And there it is for you, the Seahopper all parked up and ready for another mission. I hope you enjoyed it . Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/siunodo0ehh6tnm/KTP-90%20Sea%20hopper.craft?dl=0
13. I still enjoy ksp as much as before, im just out of good ideas for what to do. I cant just go in and do something random anymore. and yes i know there are a million and one things to do in ksp.
14. Here is another update to my Tornado collection witch at the current moment has many aircrafts in it. tought it might be a good idea to do this now that all the old posts are a bit broken (download links and picks) due to the transition to the new format. This time ill be showing off 5 of them: The Tornado1, 2,5, 5 and the X and hyper Tornados. The other ones being tornado inspired aircrafts. At first the Tornado in my eyes was just another aircraft but as my love for Tails grew ever larger it became obvious that a kspfied version had to be created at some point. All the Tornados fly really well except for the X-Tornado witch is currently broken cause of the B9 engines. All the bi-plane Tornados are very rugged and can survive very rough landings. So i ended up having a fight between the VAB and the Tornado and the Tornado won (crashed at a speed of 50-60 m/s). The first one was the Tornado 2.5, my try at replicating the tornado 2 from Sonic-X. This version of the aircraft has been modified 4 times already to make it more accurate and better working. The Tornado 2.5 is a very well flying aircraft that has rocketboosters for takeoff but is only a oneseater aircraft. It has a topspeed of about 130 m/s in low altitude. The design is based on the Tornado 2 from Sonic-X. It looks pretty accurate but its not really a replica. Next up we have the second one i created, The X-tornado. The X-Tornado had two version but i removed the old one cause the new one looks a lot better and more accurate. The X-Tornado can fly at mach.1 in low altitude and is very manouverable but its not easy to fly so practice is needed. And as i said the X-Tornado is grounded for now since the B9 high vector jet engines where the thing that made the aircraft controllable, so until the next update comes i wont be flying it. The broblem being that the centre of mass is way back and the back end is made out of wings so it will want to point its nose up.Plus the lack of elevators isnt helping either. Here we have the third one i made, The Hyper Tornado. It also has two version of it. The Hyper Tornado can fly at speeds of around 230-250 m/s in low altitude. It is also very manouverable and probably the safest to fly overall (the biplanes want to flip over when braking and their propellors can hit the ground and the X-Tornado is just hard to fly). The Hyper Tornado was really hard to replicate so it ends up looking a bit weird in some areas but all and all its pretty accurate but far from perfect. Here we have my own custom designed Tornado, the Tornado 5. The idea was to create a modern looking bi-plane that would look like a blend between a jet and a bi-plane but would still blend in with the others. Its safe to say that the Tornado 5 is my all time favourite aircraft in ksp cause of its looks and the way it flyes. It is the only version that has a transformed version of it, the first version of the transformed version was uncontrollable but the newer one actually flyes pretty well (doesnt have landing gears). It has a top speed of about 140 m/s in low altitude and it also flyes really well. And last but definetly not least we have the Tornado 1, my favourite of all the replika Tornados. It just had a massive overhaul to make it more accurate since the old version was more of a mix of the Sonic ova and Sonic-3 versions. Later on i wanted to make it look more like the Sonic ova version so i drew a picture of that version and used it as my reference for modding it. I personally like the Sonic ova version of the Tornado 1 more since its in more realistic proportions compared to real life designs. I think its now very accurate but its still not perfect. With a top speed of about 100 m/s its the slowest of the bunch even despite the jet booster under the fuselage. It flyes really well just like the other tornados. The Tornado is now pretty much the most important aircraft for me in ksp right now and is one of the main reasons that why i still play ksp. youknow, after over 700 hours you start to run out of original ideas and youll just end up copying old design with a couple of new parts a bit of a different look (has happened to me unfortunetly ). And its the only reason that why i still use mods. Because i think that the stock build of ksp now has enough parts for my cargo/passenger aircraft needs. I dont know if ill end up making anymore tornado replicas but i will try to make more custom Tornado designs, it just isnt very easy to make completely original desings. Its not too hard to design bi-planes but it difficult to make it look like it was designed By Tails himself. And now on to other buisness. Here is the main reason i started making Tornado designs, the tails flag. I use this flag in pretty much everyone of my aircrafts these days. And yes i do love it very much . The original pick from witch this one is made from is the Tails_sheet made By nintendrawer of deviantart. http://nintendrawer.deviantart.com/art/tails-sheet-151285410 But anyway, there it is for you, the Tornado collection of mine. I hope you enjoy it . Me and Tails would like to wish you have fun flying and ofcource as Scott would say, fly safe . Mods used: B9, Firespitter, Prosedural wings, KAX and Flag Decals. 15. So here is a BAE Harrier replika that works good as a regular plane. Tought id leave this one unarmed to save on some weight and make it fully stock. Unfortunetly i had to remove the VTOL system from it when i noticed that it didnt work too well and was very unpractical. It was heavy, the aircraft was hard to control durning vtol mode (could have propably fixed this) and it would run out of oxidizer way too fast for it to be practical (about 20 seconds worth of fuel). This caused a problem wher the aircraft woul run out of oxidezer before it could reach enough speed/altitude to fly. The big S flaps would also over heat and explode cause they get in front of the engine exhaust when pointing the nose down. The only use i found for the VTOL system was to use it to land into water without the plane getting damaged. But as a regular plane its not too bad at all, it flyes around pretty well but is a little slow with a top speed of 160 m/s in low altitude. This caused by the fact that the design is pretty heavy and could really use some bigger engines. Currently uses 8 "juno" engines. Here are some picks of one of the test flights. It had 12 "twitch" engines on the underside as the vtol engines. So there it is for you, the Harrier jump jet. I hope you enjoy it :). 16. I can still remember the day in 0.25 when i got Kirk kerman :D. I immedietly made him the captain of my space carrier. Unfortunetly that save is gone :(.
17. .So i tought it might be fun to build a stock replica of the F-89 since i built myself one of the Revell modelkits of this aircraft. The original Aircraft was designed as a bomber interceptor that would have a long range and would be armed with 104 rockets for taking big targets down and out. I can see its potential for this role but would personally use it as a ground attack aircraft instead (your choise). The F-89 was also the first and only aircraft to launch a live nuclear air to air rocket (genie rocket). This aircraft is a hella load of fun to fly and use. Its very manouverable and pretty quick with a top speed of 230 m/s in low altitude :). I was genuenly suprised that the aircraft worked so well considering that the wings are not the biggest ever and it has a lot of "extra bits", wing tip tanks, external fuel tanks and the engine pods on the sides. Since the aircraft has so many fuel tanks and 4 tiny "juno" engines it has a very long range. I only used 280/880 units of fuel for maximum performance. So here are some picks of it in action. That was the first proper test flight and its safe to say that the weapons work as intended . All safe and sound on the hangar. The aircraft turns on a dime in ground so its easy to enter and leave the hangar from the same door :D. 18. Desided id have a go at this challenge. So i took my Koeing SST Klipper and modified it a little bit. Cant say i did too bad. Mass: 212.3 tons Capacity: 4+200 kerbals (9 passenger fuselages and 14 mk-2 crew tanks in the mid and aft cargobays) Length: 87.6 m wingspan: 58.1 m Height: 13.5 m Top speed: about 220 m/s in low altitude Powerplant: 8 Whiplash turbo ramjets The landing was very tricky. I had to slow down so much that i ended up landing nose first and losing one of my engines and the tip of the nose but noething else. I actually had some aerospike engines for slowing down, but didnt end up using them afterall. After the landing i did takeoff but it was a close call. And yes i am using the Flag decals mod.
19. I guess that might work. Besides im not really that interested to make it fly properly since its super laggy and super impractical.
20. I think it looks a bit silly plus i like to use swept wings to mark out the outlines of the wings, i think It gives out the nicest looking wing designs.
21. Its not actually that difficult to land on to the island runway, you just need to remember to slow down early enough.
22. I have something special for you, The Tornado 1 from Sonic 2 and 3 and the Sonic the Hedgehog the movie. After watching Sonic the Hedgehog the movie today (witch is great by the way) i felt like it was time for me to build the original Tornado in KSP. And i must say i think ive fallen in love with this aircraft . Its super fun to fly (maby even a bit better than the Tornado 5), aka its very responsive and sharp at the same time (could use a bit more roll control) making it very manouverable. Its pretty much the perfect aerobatic aircraft . NOTE: as soon as the wheels leave the ground the aircraft will start pointing its nose up because of jet booster under the wing so taking of is not as easy as it may seem. I suggest pointing the nose down as hard as you can and as soon as the nose points straight up just do a loop de loop and you will be fine. Plus when you land, land at a very slow speed and be very, VERY creful with the brakes or it WILL flip over. The design of the aircraft is pretty much as accurate as it can be and even the colours too witch is suprising. Other than the vertical stabilizer being grey instead of red with a white stripe and the wheel hubs being red instead of grey/silver it pretty much bang on. Here are some picks of it in action. Everybody better buckle up and hang on, looking at you Bob. unfotunetly soon after takeoff Bob desided to leave. Good thing Bob wasnt with us at this point or he could have gotten a new haircut. And what would a tornado be without a tails flag. So i will be putting my flag up for download. Credits to nintendrawer of deviantart for the original picture. So there it is for you, the Tornado 1 from the pages of gaming history in KSP form. I hope you enjoy it . 23. I present to you the Hyper Tornado, actually two of them since ive built two versions of it. I was actually watching season 3 of Sonic-X at the same time as i was building this. Both of the version fly pretty much the same way but the newer version seems more nippy and fast. Im going to focus on the newer version of it (wanted to show off the old one for fun). The Hyper Tornado is very manouverable indeed and has a top speed of 220-250 m/s in low altitude (could have used my clipping of engines trick to make it fly faster). And it is very fun to fly (rolling feels maby a bit too sharp). It was not an easy task to replicate the design of the Hyper Tornado. i just watched some episodes of Sonic-X season 3 to work as my reference for the build. the design is very rounded and has a lot of parts that are impossible to replicate properly with stock parts. I ended up making the new version fully stock except for prosedural wings and Flag decals. Here are some picks of it in action. Here are a couple of picks of the original version built quite a long time ago. My original version just didnt feel accurate enough to put it here on to the forum plus it uses a lot more mods. And yes i ended up clipping the wingtip while i flew past the flagpole. So there you have it folks and fans, the Hyper Tornado. It still isnt perfect but it will have to do for now. I hope you enjoy it . Mods used: Improved version: Prosedural wings and Flag decals Old version: KAX expansion, Prosedural landing-gears and Firespitter Download link for the new version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/p3zexewp5jcinxa/Hyper%20Tornado%20%28improved%29.craft?dl=0
