    Big Rockets!
  1. Hello! I'm a novel FAR user aswell, but I've managed to make my rocket designs usable. You have to be aware of aerodynamics, from the tip of the rocket (try to have rocket caps / parachutes instead of flat surfaces) and also, I tend to have oversized fins. If you find that your rocket is having an Rapid Unplanned Disassembly, keep an eye on the following things: High Dynamic Pressures, Try a less aggressive gravity turn, (my first rockets after installing FAR were a straight to space rockets, very inefficient, but it worked :D) With regard to landing, FAR makes it way harder, to get the flow going, I've started to add Drogue Chutes to my planes. but usually the thing ends quite bad. Cheers!
  2. You were right, I've un-autostrutted all the parts I could, and the vessel doesn't get spaggettified anymore. With regard to the 200M Jump, I've downloaded WorldStabilizer, and now, the rover is being dropped from a more sensible height (ranging from 2 to 5 meters). Thank you for your help guys! now I Finally can explore the biomes with my rovers
  3. I've been testing, and seems to be an issue with my craft, (an elongated rover), I've tested some stock rovers, and they do not skyrocket 200M into the air. Also, I've forgot to mention, If I just timewarp, the rover just rises 200m on the air (and then proceeds to execute a Rapid Unplanned Disassembly with fireworks). If I let Bon Voyage to finish the planned route, before jumping into the air, the rover get's spaggettified into a mess of components, unusually losing a wheel or a random component in the process. Tomorrow, I'll post some more details (mod-list, craft file and so on). to see if someone can help me out. because I love the idea of dropping a rover with science stuff, and let him roam trough the planet/moon collecting relaying science to KSC I've uploaded to Imgur a image of the rover before activating BonVoyage and other just after it gets spagettified https://imgur.com/a/qORYvvj
  4. Hello!, I'm new using this mod, and to rovers aswell... I'm experiencing a weird effect using Bon Voyage. I set a target, and leave the rover to drive on his own to the target, and switch back to Tracking Station. When I load back into the rover, (or if I timewarp and stop) it decides to jump 200m into the air, no matter what offset I set on the mod settings, Am I missing some setting on the mod config to prevent this behavior, or at least reduce to 10/20m instead of 200? This is happening landed on midlands, on the Mun.
  5. Sorry, found out that my CKAN just trolled me out, it has chosen to download 3.4.1.1, I'm sorry that I did not pay attention to TCA version..
  6. hello @allista First of all, I want to thank you for your excepcional work!. I've updated to the latest version of TCA for KSP 1.2.2 (v3.4.1). Unfortunately I could not find the icon anywhere, nor on stock toolbar, neither on @blizzy78's Toolbar. Update parts were present on VAB and Research window. As a developer myself, I've tried to drop some light on the issue and after digging on output_log.txt, I've found the following lines: AssemblyLoader: Exception loading 'ThrottleControlledAvionics': System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException: The classes in the module cannot be loaded. at (wrapper managed-to-native) System.Reflection.Assembly:GetTypes (bool) at System.Reflection.Assembly.GetTypes () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at AssemblyLoader.LoadAssemblies () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 Additional information about this exception: System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'ThrottleControlledAvionics.EngineWrapper' from assembly 'ThrottleControlledAvionics, Version=3.4.1.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'. With the folowing line on the causes System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly '000_AT_Utils, Version=1.4.3.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. File name: '000_AT_Utils, Version=1.4.3.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' Seems like the last update to TCA is built with AT_UTILS 1.4.3, but that version is rated on CKAN as KSP 1.3.0. Is there, by any chance that you could upload a new version of AT_UTILS or TCA that works on 1.2.2? I'm still tied to 1.2.2 by many mods Thanks in advance! and keep the good work going!
