  1. How is 'Impact time' calculated? The calculation should already contain the 'orbital arc length', does it?
  2. There is always just one challenge active and 'rescue a kerbal' is closed, since the new challenge is presented in the post above yours. I'm afraid, you can no longer do the 'rescue a kerbal' challenge, but you are welcome to try the new one
  3. Well, thats an unexpected solution but it works, thanks Actually I just want to have no border at all and thought I have to hide it by changing the color to white but removing the border with the inspector is way easier^^
  4. Just a quick question: is it possible to change the border color of a table?
  5. Well, I guess I can submit another one before I do a little pause until everything got accepted^^ Here is STS-3 (Still the same design^^) Album with more pictures: https://imgur.com/a/yZ17p0Q edit: whoops, accidently clicked 'submit reply'. Still adding some pictures
  6. @linuxgurugamer Found a little bug when using individual angle snap values and the rotate tool. Looks like the first rotation step does not use the correct angle but a smaller one. I've recorded a sortl video for you when I tried to use a 27° angle but this also happens with other 'non default' angles. (No, I'm not pressing 'shift' during the first step^^) I'm running KSP 1.4.3 and the latest release of EEX & dependencies. Mod list (AFAIK everything is up to date): output_log (got no errors or exceptions but for the sake of completenes )
  7. Nicely done I guess, the requirements somehow forces a similar design, because the way you are putting all the stuff inside the cargo bay looks a bit familiar to me xD Sneak preview for my STS 3 mission I'm preparing right now:
  8. Here's STS-2b. Actually pretty hard to land such a heavy orbiter, had to try it a few times and finally ended up with an in flight adjustment to the control surfaces. Just increased the authority limiter to 150, otherwise I was not able to pitch up as soon as the orbiter decelerate below 300m/s... Just to do a bit differently to other docking maneuvers, I didn't use the RCS of the Fuel Pod. Instead, I caught the pod with the orbiter which allowed me to bring it back without using any fuel of the pod. I forgot to show the filled ore tank in the last screen, hopefully thats not a problem. (actually I have a video proof that I didn't jettison the ore since I record the flight and create screenshots of the video. I can upload the video if you want.) Album: https://imgur.com/a/BVbGtOf
  9. Thanks I'm curious as well and I will try to keep this design as long as possible...just finished 2a without any major changes I guess, the first Mun mission will be the first one which requires changes or a complete different design. 1b already had the highest deltaV requirements and the modules for 5-8 will be lighter than the Mullet Dyne Fuel Pod. Actually, I just got an idea how to work around the high deltaV requirements of Mun-STS-1, that will be hilarious if I can manage to do this Just a quick question for this: Does this account just for landings on Kerbin or the Mun as well? Well, until we will find out how many challenges can be done with the same deisgn, here is STS-2a (If you already liked the orbit of 1b, you will love these^^): All screens: https://imgur.com/a/AHz36iy (Mod list still the same)
  10. Just had to do some minor design adjustments to do STS-1b: All pictures: https://imgur.com/a/Lrj4ZXs Orbit of the Mullet Dyne Fuel Pod got a difference of 2.3m between Pe and Ap, altitude is 200km. Not a single drop of fuel of the payload got consumed. Oh, and I managed to stop the orbiter half way on the runway this time
  11. I know that problem, but I don't have a 'good' solution. It should be possible to change the resolution by pressing the button really, really often (like 10 times just to increase the resolution by one step). Another workaround would be to change the resolution in the launcher or direct in the settings.cfg (in line 127 & 128).
  12. Thanks I like my SSTOs with big wings to achieve high gliding capabilities so it was obviously to me to build my orbiter with the same big wings. Well, I had a pretty late touchdown during the landing and lost a lot of the runway space, but I'll try to improve next time
  13. Finally build a stable shuttle, so I would like to submit my entries for the STS-1T and STS-1a challenge. STS-1T: More pictures: https://imgur.com/a/45Uw7gP STS-1a: Had some problems to get proper screenshots during the ascent while controlling the shuttle, so I've created a video instead. I'm sorry for the length of the video, I don't know anything about video editing and how to create a time lapse Installed mods: Distant Object Enhancement Editor Extensions Redux (+dependencies 'Toolbar Controller' & 'ClickThroughBlocker') EVE KER Kopernicus (incl. Modular Flightintegrator) Maneuvernode Evolved PlanetShine PlanetShine RCS BuildAID Scatterer SVE SVT ModuleManager (dependency for Kopernicus, no other patches)
  14. Which KSP version? Does this happen on a fresh install? Did you install a mod befor this happened? Any entries in the flight events? Just press 'F3' after going on EVA, it should contain something like 'xyz went on EVA' and if your Kerbal really dies, there will be an entry as well.
  15. I'm actually curious: Why would you even want to target the parent SOI? It's not like that you will need a 'closet approach' marker or anything else.
  16. Nope, that's KER. These numbers are TWR (max TWR), max TWR is calculated with empty tanks. These values are always the same as in your KER window and will change if you switch to "atmosphere" or "no atmosphere".
  17. Like Mark Kerbin already suggested, a log file would be nice. I have the same visual mods installed (and even some more) but haven't experienced this bug (they can still be the reason), but if something goes horribly wrong, it should have a least one entry in the log file. If you don't know where the log file is located (especially the output_log), take a look in this thread:
  18. Maybe, I've overdone this one Short version to submit: 8 tourists, Bill, Bob, Jeb and Val are stranded on Duna. Bill got separated from the ship during a heroic EVA and landed with his personal parachute: Rescue mission will be performed by Helbro (one of my favourite random name^^) Since tourists cannot go on EVA, a rover is used to transfer them to the rescue ship: Of course, Bill will be rescued as well: Back to Kerbin: Final screens: As usual, I've used some visual mods, also Maneuvernode Evolved, RCS Build AID, KER and Editor Extensions Redux. I've created an imgur album for the whole rescue mission: https://imgur.com/a/vzlvhRN And a second album for the prequel (how the crash happend): https://imgur.com/a/SQMz2ME Both albums are pretty picture heavy, roughly 60 screens in each album and a little story is told in the description. During the prequel, I've used the debug menu to get a spacestation in kerbin orbit but this should be fine since the station is not involved in the rescue mission, just for a little twist during the prequel
  19. AFAIK, no. But maybe you should not try to run the high res textures on a GPU with 2GB VRAM (and an ancient graphics driver)...thats really optimistic Anyway, I'm pretty sure I've found your problem: You've downloaded a old version of EVE, the one release by rbray89 for KSP 1.1 which is 2 years old. Try the updated version released by waz: https://github.com/WazWaz/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements/releases
  20. Hm...thats pretty strange. Your EVE folder contains all the dlls: BUT, they are not recognized by KSP: Also, you got several 'AssemblyLoader: Exception' messages for all the dll files, which are not listed in 'Mod DLLs found'. Did you reinstalled just the mods or KSP as well?
  21. For my install with 50 mods, everything works fine. No differences to the latest github version.
  22. @Lucast0909 Are cheats allowed to set up a story around this mission? I got a nice idea but I'll need a station in Kerbin orbit, which is not involved in the rescue mission, it's just for the story. I would like to use the station from the second challenge and I can save a lot of time by cheating a copy into orbit.
