  1. I doubt it, the Nintendo Switch uses an ARM processor architecture that is nearly a decade old now, efficiency and multicore performance are great, single core performance is astronomically bad... Also KSP 1 can easily eat 4GB of RAM, and the 1600MT/s speed is going even further hurt the single core speed of the processor. KSP 2 will hopefully have some clever way of expanding the maximum practical size of a craft, but it will still probably by limited by single core speed above all else.
  2. I like the solitude of Eeloo, a desolate ball of ice far away from every things else, all on it's own. So I think that it should be kept that way. However, to me at least, Eeloo looks more like the planet Eris than Pluto: Eeloo and Eris are completely covered in ice, Pluto has some rock. I don't think they're going to add any celestial bodies, but if they did, a true Pluto analog with Eeloo as an Eris analog would be at the top of my list.
  3. Krapken. I have the 1650 which is about 50% faster than the 1050. I can run AVP at about 60-30 FPS depending on part count and situation. I don't think much can be done other than turning down some settings. I would recommend turning down texture resolution (Or using lower resolution AVP textures, which wouldn't mess with the stock textures, but doesn't give as much of a benefit), and turning off Anti-Aliasing, which to my eye at least has a smaller effect compared to noticeable effect than most of the other settings. I would also make sure you don't have high reflection settings, as I've found that they cause FPS drops even when there aren't any reflections on the screen. I wish I had something more useful that the usual "Turn down your settings", but as far as I know the 1060 and 1650 are about the minimum for AVP at full settings.
  4. Two questions: how much lag are we talking about? I assume you mean a low frame rate. And what hardware do you have? Specifically the GPU, but the CPU and RAM also play a large role for Astronomer's Visual Pack.
  5. You've installed the textures and configs wrong. It's two separate files so that you can choose the resolution. Inside both the AVP.v.4.05 and AVP_4KTextures folders, there should be folders called "GameData". Copy the contents of both of those into the actual GameData folder, and delete the AVP.v.4.05 and AVP_4KTextures.
  6. This might be a weird question since this thread is about wanting more performance... But I have a GTX 1650 and can play at 1080p with every setting at max, at 60 frames per second with Astronomers Visual Pack, which to my knowledge is the most demanding EVE mod out there. With SVE+Scatterer I can get even more, about 80-90 FPS, but the posted minimum for SVE+Scatterer at 1080p is a 1660, which is about 60% faster than my 1650, and I wouldn't consider 60 FPS a "Minimum" at all. I'm obviously not complaining, just a bit confused. I thought I would have to dial some settings back, but I don't need to at all...
  7. I've done surface missions to all the terrestrial planets in KSP, and I'm still going to watch all the tutorials for KSP2. These look great!
  8. There are several mods that can do this in KSP 1, which makes me hopeful that the devs could do it easily in KSP2. I've also seen a lot of arguing about how complicated colonies should be, and even if they're simple I still think this would be a good idea, is it adds a lot of gameplay and frees up a lot of time for more impressive missions, or heck, even so it is a standard feature, and there aren't several overlapping mods with this feature. (Also if there are multiple mods I could imagine inter-mod compatibility being a problem)
  9. Probably Glumo, gas giants hold a special place in my KSP heart after all those adventures too Jool.
  10. I love brown dwarf stars in ksp, and this look pretty spectacular from the trailer video... That said, your spacedock download like is broken. This is the error text it gives you: The server could not verify that you are authorized to access the URL requested. You either supplied the wrong credentials (e.g. a bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required. I tried google and firefox on two different computers with two different space dock accounts, and it was still being weird. This is also doesn't appear to be a problem for anything else on spacedock. Maybe check to if the link works for you if you sign out of spacedock? If not my recommendation would be to make sure it is publicly published, I say this because if you search for it on spacedock, nothing shows up. Then search for it, logged out of your spacedock account, and then use that link, as it will definitely work for anyone else.
  11. Despite having owned KSP for two years, and having played 1320 hours of KSP. Before today I had never been to another planet, and the only two missions I've ever done are a Mun mission and Minmus+Mun mission. The main problem is that KSP terrain isn't very interesting, so it never seemed worth the (with hindsight minimal) effort to go to another planet. This changed with KSP version 1.8, not only did they add the terrain shaders, they updated to a newer version of Unity, which runs significantly better on my potato computer. Due to the apparent easiness, I went to Duna with a small Nerva powered ship and started taking screenshots after entering the Duna system. The clouds are from a modified version of Astronomer's Visual Pack, all dependents except scatterer (Which doesn't work anywhere near correctly in 1.8) Oh how very kerbal... There is a dog in a collar and a shirt on this rock. Dust storm. No one told me Ike was shiny! The AVP dust clouds are quite possibly my favorite thing I've ever seen in any KSP image. Some nice pictures of Kerbin that doesn't have anything to do with 1.8 terrain shaders.
  12. RSS Constellations still exists (admittedly the download is a little hard to find), although I do recommend going into the configs and turning down the stars' luminosity values, as it is really, really, really, really bright if you don't. https://www.curseforge.com/kerbal/ksp-mods/rss-constellations (Don't hold me to this) Exomoons! appears to still work with recent KSP versions: https://spacedock.info/mod/1421/Exomoons!
  13. B9 hasn't been updated since 1.5.x but it is a pretty simple mod, as in doesn't have many new mechanics or fancy modules like KSPI, so it is probably going to work fine with just about any recent KSP version (I'm currently using a 1.3.1 version for 1.7.2 because I can't be bothered to update). The one thing that could break is the part switching, theres a bug in the 1.7 versions that makes it not remove the tanks you switched off of until you click off of the part, but outside of the part switching mods (which when they break, seem to get fixed pretty quickly) it seems pretty stable.
  14. There is an EVE sidebar button that can be used to modify/disable most of the individual textures, it's pretty easy to change the density of the volumetric clouds with it which means that you could have one of the fancy cloud mods, (Spectra is probably worth the melted computer) but decrease the amount of GPU usage when flying through the atmosphere (By far the most intensive part of mods like Sci Fi VE and SVE) without making it look weird from orbit. (This can also make it easier to see) You could also use this to have textures for one planet from mod X and textures for another from mod Y, or to have (For example, because this is what I play with) the from space cloud textures of Sci Fi VE, and the in atmosphere textures of Spectra.
  15. Kopernicus has an option for the Orbit parser called mode, I know that you can use it to hide orbits, but does it do anything else? I ask because no matter what I set it to the orbit is hidden, and I couldn't find any documentation
