MechJeb should be on by default on New Career mode (easy mode) I think MechJeb is a great way to learn KSP mechanics. The difference is that instead of upgrading the tech tree, you simply need to upgrade buildings to reach the next level of automation on the MechJeb. Upgrading both the tech tree and buildings makes no sense. I speak for the easy level. The steep learning curve is already above average, give us tutorial and MechJeb (Easy Mode)
