  1. You should be able to orbit below the highest point, by making sure that the highest point is not in your orbital path. I think it was mentioned above that the highest peak is on the south pole or something, so if you have an equatorial orbit then your orbit can be lower. Unless of course the Mun librated a lot, which it doesn't in the game (but does in real life).
  2. Oh my.... It's like a spiderweb occupied by a maniac. I didn't know the portal Space Core ate flies. o.o
  3. Yes this is a problem. If the code is written specifically for one engine (and it seems they've used the Unity Engine) then switching to a better one would be a massive update. Granted, it would be much better to do this in an Alpha stage than leave it till last and have to re-write the whole game, but it's still a massive thing as it stands that would take a long time. They could be working on it right now. O_O
  4. What are your computer specs? Just curious as to whether it's your PC struggling with the game, or the game struggling with the parts.
  5. I can't imagine any of that being a boardroom discussion, regardless of how accurate it is. (I'm no scientist, just a teenager enjoying a game) "Okay guys, we've got an issue. We need to either increase the mass of particles or make electron shells smaller... Our users will be outraged otherwise." Can you imagine that? I can't. I don't know whether SQUAD is a science genius or not, but that would be a bizarre discussion indeed. I guess my conclusion would be that some people are taking the theoretical physics that differ between our universe and the Kerbol universe way too seriously and should probably think that Squad can make his own damn physics in the game, and make them as accurate as he likes.

    Day 1

Jeez that's an incredible first day... On my first KSP day I sat in the corner of the space center sucking my thumb and playing hide & seek with Jebediah.
  8. Yeah, I'll look up some landings tuts. I'm just barely figuring out the maneuvers... And to be honest that's really stretching my mind as it is.
  9. I have been playing KSP for quite a while, and whilst mostly messing around I have NEVER landed on a moon or a planet. Never. Sometimes I try, sometimes I don't. Anywho, most of the time when I really try I end up orbiting the sun. Just thought I'd post my best achievement! I'm loving this game so much, but I seem a little unintelligent in the spacial department. Btw this flight also ended up orbiting the sun. Edit: Scratch that, just tried again with the same space-craft and crash landed. *thumbs up*
  10. I am yet to touch a planet or indeed a moon since starting KSP. I am simply terrible, but one day I will triumph...
  11. Oh my! That is indeed a beautiful space station! I have one craft orbiting the sun at about 9000m a second, but that is all. It's a rather dull looking craft too.
  12. Mother Kanga always used to say "Kanga, if you're going to make a rocket that will rival the force of physics, make sure it has unbelievable amounts of weaponry, as physics doesn't like a challenger." This is where you went wrong friend, physics just gnawed at your ship without a defense!
  13. You lost me at 'completely different universe'. D:
  14. Hello fellow Kerbinauts, I am Kanga. I've been around for a while, failed many many times, succeeded once or twice, and eaten lots of ice-cream whilst crying over lost causes. I'm mainly a lurker, but every now and again I express a mildly idiotic opinion which doesn't really merit a response. However, I'm here and ready to roll uhh, space?
