  1. The Sphaera I (a.k.a. little miss melter) Mostly a habitation station; has enough space for 22 crew, 1200~ fuel and about the same RCS. Until the game is optimised a little better, though, she's mostly a monument.
  2. 2050 - humankind finally comes to its senses and stops pissing around with silly little dreams about being in space just in time to appreciate the fact there's no fuel left and we're all dying. That is if there isn't a nuclear exchange precipitated by some event in the Mesopotamia first. Yay!
  3. Trialing the Kubla I bomber and the Finch guided bomb on a Zokesia PzIV. Mwahahahaha. It actually barely scratched the armour-plating - in atmosphere velocities are low and armour is incredibly strong. It did knock off a few plates at the rear, damage some of the internal radioscopes, pop almost of the wheels on that side and knock off some batteries and things. Edit: - Piercing. - Effective range: Est 20km when launched from 10km altitude at 200m/s - Effective gravity: Only test in atmosphere, would almost certainly work in zero-g, however. - Deployed on bomber aircraft - Not able to dock. - Single, medium payload. Download (with Kubla I bomber, still in testing)
  4. Can you do it manually? Because I suspect it's mechJeb that's the problem (on that point: why would you use mechJeb to launch?).
  5. For your radial unguided rockets, try putting two sepatrons opposite each other angled in a corkscrew. This induces a spin a guarantees accuracy in space. With only two sepatrons even a .5 degree twist in flight will result in an out of control missile.
  6. Whenever I do a radially mounted space-plane I always just add the weight of the plane to the other side of the main tank using fuel tanks. It's not often pretty, but it works.
  7. It seems like the issue very well might be that you've design the plane to look good but not paid much attention to actual aerodynamics. I can't load it due the mod parts, so could you upload an image with a view of the landing gear and one with a view of the centers of mass, thrust and lift?
  8. I don't like using mod-parts, but this is a beautiful plane. I love swept wing designs, but this thing has the added beauty of being pretty much all wing. Very elegant!
  9. Even if you could make a solar sail large enough to be able to counteract the Moon's gravity it'd still never work as it'd never 'fill'. As soon as you got close to the Moon the Sun would be to the side or above you, and thus would either push you off course or actually accelerate you slightly.
  10. Depends. There's oxygen within the capsule, and possibly some liquid oxygen within the fuel tanks; they can certainly catch fire. Anyway, this film shows why astronauts should where SAFERs when doing EVA.
  11. Had my first Mun landing in this save and neglected to fill the tanks of the landing vehicle once it had been ferried to the Mun, and so it doesn't have enough to rendesvous again. So, I build a robotic rescue craft and launch in up, tug it to the moon and then... realised that I haven't give it a stack separator, or parachutes... So once back to Kerbin (if we get there) I'll need to launch up an orbital taxi to take the brave moonwalkers back to the planet safely. It's the little things that screw you.
  12. At the moment I'd like more optimisation. I'm far more into the building and design aspect of KSP than the exploration and a faster game would mean I can builder bigger and more intricate designs. I'd also really like to see more graphs and things: charts on data you've collected from planets, delta v, more specific catastrophic failure information, etc.
  13. Most people build simple tugs to take things to the Mun; I build the Origin III Burning to the Mun Arriving with cargo Limbo Obligatory team photo: landing crew Obligatory team photo: Origin crew
  14. Everyone is bad at docking before they start. Check out Scott Manley's docking tutorial and clear an afternoon in your schedule, it'll come eventually. Edit: ^ What a swatstika-like station you have there.
  15. You've been given a game with a silly number of rocket parts and you're asking for pre-built weapons?
  16. Keep thrusting de-orbit the Mun! It's what Jeb would do!
  17. For something as heavy duty as it is it looks absolutely gorgeous, though it does look like it'd snap at the tiniest hint of a micrometeor.
  18. I'm certain I can construct all that, but I'm not very good at docking and rendezvous. I'll give it a go tonight and once I have a stableish system I can give a download link here for someone who's a bit more proficient to try it out.
  19. Very awesome looking project here, some of the crafts are incredible, as is the scope of it. I've noticed that you don't have an atmospheric fighter listed yet and was going to offer up my Almagest I 'Tahare' as a potential candidate. It comes in a VTOL version if that's a strict requirement, and given the ease at which it currently flies I can easily create a variant designed with some light missiles, on-ground refueling, anything else that's required. She has no orbital ability, and I've never tested an orbital launch platform, but it only ways about 10 tons so getting her into space shouldn't be a problem, and it wouldn't take much to ferry her anywhere. The full range in in my signature. Either way, I'm really enjoying this project; I can't wait to see what it ends up as.
  20. Wow, that's a gorgeous SSTO. Very elegant design, but not a single part of its is purely aesthetic. Very inspiring.
  21. We'd have to be in awe at the speed at which they develop and the ease at which they launch moon missions/interplanetary missions.
  22. Jeb looks hopeful A day later, and worryingly close to the runway. Success! We went so fast Jeb's eyes fell out of alignment... So close to reaching Mach 6, it took me till the antipode of KSP before I remembered that if you throttle down when air is low you actually get more power. Oxidiser's only there because I needed a small part in order to mount the drag chutes without clipping.
