  1. Is there a chance we can get the nose to the Gemini capsule? It just looks so wrong as it is now. I was told during the livestream that the nose was too small to be a service bay. Could it be made as small monopropellent tank, docking port or just cosmetic structural piece? I know there are workarounds but none with the same texture as the capsule that I can see.
  2. Thanks for letting me know to restart Steam. Got it now I think
  3. Check the link I posted earlier. Should update on Steam
  4. They recommend restarting Steam and verifying the integrity of local files. So far no luck. Hopefully Steam catches up soon.
  5. Anyone have the email we are supposed to be sending the problem with not receiving the DLC for free? EDIT: Never mind I found it:
  6. I bought it on March 29 2013 on Steam and it's saying I have to pay for it. On the stream they said there is a place to report this but I don't see it anywhere
  7. I was reading HarvesteR's Dev Blag, Rethinking the way flights end, and was intrigued by this: "The plan is to add an option to 'Recover' a vessel whenever possible. Recovering a vessel would return you some of its value, giving an incentive to build reusable vessels. Of course, recovering would only be possible for vessels landed or splashed down on Kerbin, and the value of the recovered vessel would vary based on how far from KSC it actually is." I wanted to start practicing landing as close as possible to the Space Center. Which brings me to my question: How is the best non-mechjeb way to re-enter Kerbin and land as close as possible to the Space Center? I personally prefer to become manually proficient at a task first and then let mechjeb start doing it for me when it become a boring grind. How much does vehicle drag, mass and angle of entry affect precision landings on Kerbin? Can I always reenter at the same window or will it vary by what I'm flying and/or how fast I'm coming in?
  8. After Mun and Minmus landings I've been trying my first trip to Duna and seem to be using all my fuel going there. I'm over the delta-V recommended from various aids. Soon there will be more Kerbals on Duna than the mother-world. After watching many videos and reading the wiki I have a few questions that I've been having a problem with: When planning the encounter with the maneuver node, what is the acceptable distance of a planetary encounter? Or is any encounter a good encounter? I've seen it vary from millions to hundreds of thousands. Does the acceptable distance vary on the planet you're going to? After the burn to exit Kerbin and you notice the encounter isn't as close as you hoped or is now not an encounter at all, when is the best time to do correction burns? Right after the first burn, near the planet encounter or at the ascending/descending nodes?
  9. My lag was so bad the load screen took forever and was choppy. Once in I couldn't even build anything in the VAB. Parts couldn't even hardly drag out of the menu. In Steam I deleted local content, deleted the Kerbal folder from the Steam directory and re-installed. Runs great now.
  10. Last night I made a movement with my mouse (I think) that brought up all the fuel tanks information, like when you right click on a single tank. I couldn't get it to go away and it covered the screen of my large rocket. Sorry no screen shot. I was trying to fly through the clutter and didn't even think of it. If I do manage to do it again how do I get rid of it? There are some situations where it might be useful so how do I do it again? Thanks
  11. When you pull into a parking lot and need to fight the urge to burn retrograde and turn on RCS to get into the space.
  12. I had struts on my ship near the engine and I'm not sure if the fairing is hitting the struts. I will have to check it out when I get out of work tonight. I wish there was a sepratron strut that you could decouple before staging. I could do it with the struts on decouplers but I'm trying to keep the part count down. My laptop starts chugging when the count gets even moderate. I'm waiting until the 780m comes out before getting a new laptop.
  13. I was having this problem last night and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I tried starting the engine separately from the staging, with the same result. It is somewhat comforting that it might not be my error. Edit: I was also using the large to small cone and I wonder if that might be the problem.
  14. I was looking for a Scott Manley video a week or two ago and in the Google search clicked on his Twitter page by accident and saw a link to this: http://www.firstmenonthemoon.com/ I’m so glad I checked it out. I have watched it a ton of times.
