  1. Made it! First ever SSTO, and it took more attempts than I'd care to admit. Seems to me that angle of ascent is pretty critical - too steep and you don't get enough speed, too shallow and you explode due to heat. Right, now to build a big one!
  2. How? I have trouble enough hitting a target at rest relative to me from 1000m out. How on earth do you do flybys? Please share your technique.
  3. Ok, thanks for the info. I'll have to give it a shot, see what I come up with.
  4. I've been reading the thread, and I fancy making a couple of ships. If someone could answer a few queries for me that would be great. What kind of tonnage/part count brackets should I build ships for? How much delta-v, roughly speaking, does a combat ship need? Thanks in advance.
  5. Looks like a really interesting space RTS. The graphics look great, and the tactical combat style is great. It's on kickstarter now here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1826182233/contact-vector-rts?ref=discovery
  6. Anyone know yet whether or not it breaks saves?
  7. Question: are the figures for tonnage brackets for ships with or without ordnance?
  8. If you've only got 60m/s left to get him home couldn't you use the old get-out-and-push method?
  9. Resources are my biggest want. Aerodynamics are second for the shrouds and fairings.
  10. Ok, as long as I can keep my precious ships.
  11. Does this save breaking extend to saved ships, or can I bring those over manually?
  12. Thanks to everyone for the help, I'll put a few of these suggestions into practice and see what works.
  13. I'm trying to create a spacedock, and I'm sending it up in parts, but I want to make sure the parts line up perfectly, instead of being at angles. Anyone know if it's possible to make sure 2 docked parts aren't rotated relative to one another?
