  1. I'd like to revive this thread, because the issue is still present. Subassembly descriptions are all but unreadable for me. I'm playing with a resolution around 1900x1080, by the way. (Not exactly those numbers, probably.) Maybe this should belong in Stock Issues? I do remember it being in both my stock and modded KSP installs. Thanks.
  2. Cool! Very compact. Your Kerbal seems pretty happy.
  3. Kurt - no, too barbaric and uncivilized (praise mighty Manley, he is our lord, he is our savior). Also doesn't say hullo Dx1 - too lazy to do things without HAAAAAAAAX. I used to like him before he forgot about KSP and he stopped making good KSP videos. Scott - praise Manley. Manley is a religon. Religion is a Manley. Manley is not a way of life, life is a way of Manley.
  4. Looks like Aristotle was right this whole time. Who knew?
  5. This is a problem I've just noticed. The real Skylon doesn't need very large wings because its fuel is not very dense, and thus the Skylon is very light and not very dense. KSP's primitive physics model means that tiny wings will have to have a lift rating of around 3.4 or so to lift something that heavy. Although, if you make a custom resource system, you, in theory, could make it much less dense. But I'm sure that a stock-resource "kerolox" system would not work very well. May I contribute this time? I've learned how to model much better. I could also do closed alpha testing. I just suck at texturing, but I can tell you are really good at it. I'm sorry about not doing anything when I said I would before. But I think I'd be best at part configuration or Unity configuration. I really think that's my favorite part of modding. Thanks for reading. -Naten
  6. I wanted to make something exactly like this, because I wanted one. Well played, yours looks much, much better than when I tried to make it *cough* a few */cough* times. It looks great, and I just love the cockpit! -Naten
  7. In response to going fast: A song to go fast by: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4VsdfdZfyc But only the first few verses. The others suck IMO. thanks for all the feedback, guys! Happy flying. -Naten.
  8. The lights are dumb when the gear is reversed, and are overpowered (they run on magic, not any electricity whatsoever) so I disabled them and used the truly energy-sucking lights. I also refrain from using turbojets for the same reason. But jets, and honestly wings, are all overpowered in KSP. Even the landing legs can withstand what most parts can't.
  9. Accidental double post. Well, on the bright side, I can edit it to say this. The Tc-3 has been redesignated, as it is now released. Have fun intercepting insanely fast targets, or whatever you strange people do.
  10. The high-speed interceptor design has not yet been fulfilled entirely, as our current interceptor lacks the speed to catch targets faster than Mach 1.4 or so. Also, some reconnaissance aircraft can fly much higher than its maximum optimal service ceiling. The Tc-2 will be re-purposed to a fighter/interceptor from an interceptor, as it still has potential to intercept slower targets like strategic bombers, as well as combat characteristics. Plans for a high-altitude, high-speed interceptor have been designated Tc-X3. Prepare yourselves.
  11. About This is where my stock aircraft designs will be placed if I feel they are good enough for the thread. If you have any questions about this (or anything else in the thread that I am responsible for), please do feel free to ask them, and I will answer when I get a chance. =================================================== Concerning downloads Downloads will be through Dropbox, not Mediafire. (Mediafire sucks. I hate it. I HAAATE IT) If you have a problem with a link, I will try to fix it. Google Drive download links/mirror downloads may be provided in the future if the Dropbox page receives too much traffic to work properly, or if I have spare time and feel like doing so. =================================================== Aircraft designation system Aircraft are designated in my own system. Tc-[Designation Number][sub-designation] Designation Number is a number given to each aircraft in order of designs. Sub-designation is a letter, or maybe number (possibly with a letter) that shows what "model" of a certain aircraft design said aircraft is. Putting these all together: "Tc-1a" means Tiny Cat Co. Design 1, Model A. Some aircraft may not have a model letter. In this case, it is the first "model" of its "design," usually. =================================================== Products Tc-1 Stable but maneuverable single-engine jet that has room for one pilot Kerbal. Tc-2 Stable "one-seater" single-engine jet. Designed to be used for medium-altitude intercepts. Action Groups: 5 - Toggle Steering on Wheels for taxiing. Can be unstable at speeds higher than 5 meters per second or so. Download Dropbox Specs Maximum Level Speed: 520 m/s (Mach 1.53) Optimal Service Ceiling: 15,400m Maximum Service Ceiling: 17,000m Takeoff Run: 294m Takeoff Speed: 72 m/s Tc-3 Here's our new interceptor: it uses turbojets instead of turbofans to sacrifice economy, environmental-friendliness, and efficiency for speed. It can go pretty high and pretty fast. Capable of intercepting things as fast as an SR-71b, or other really fast aircraft. It can also intercept slow and low ones like a Gotha, but who gives a crap about Gothas? Not us! Action Groups: 1 - Toggle nosewheel steering 2 - Toggle back wheel steering 0 - Toggle access ladder (A landing light is also in this design. It resembles the one used in the Tc-1 and Tc-1x. This allows night ops and landings, or bugging your neighbors; it's actually pretty bright) Download Dropbox Specs Maximum Level Speed: 1445 m/s (Mach 4.25) Thanks for reading. If you do download a craft, I wish you happy flying. Even if you didn't download a craft, any opinions are appreciated. Leave a reply if you have one; it's free! If you do, thanks! -Naten
  12. Probably hyperedit for something that big. But it's still the coolest thing I've seen in a while! +rep for big, spinny donuts!!!!!11
  13. Nice car! Looks like it could work as a tug for airplanes, a feat I've always wanted to try to accomplish. I'd bet it would be fun. Or, add seats to it and make it a party van
  14. Erala - Cold gas giant, similar to Saturn { Eeloo should be moved here, Enceladus analogue Kit - Irregular captured asteroid Urna - Less-than-Eeloo-sized, small round moon. Icy and very rugged terrain. } Seral - Very far out body, similar to Sedna. I want a body that's actually a challenge to get to.
  15. Great idea! And wow, only 2 hours to make a plugin. Great idea, and it must be very simple to be that quick to make! Now we can recover asteroids so our space center can sell it to potato merchants scientists!
  16. Katateochi did that, sort of. He did an SPH-plane-career playthrough, which is in Mission Reports. That was in 0.22 or 0.23 (maybe both, actually), I think, though, so no budgets. Still readworthy, so go check it out Also, work on the mod has been halted indefinitely. I'm in a creative slump.
  17. Woah, good job! That's a fair amount of Science to go crazy with, you deserved more than 1378 science IMO...
  18. Here's my entry. I completed all four of the challenges/achievements in one run, no cheats, mods (with parts on the ship. I only have KER on my stock/challenge install/instance of KSP, no FAR, KJR... etc.) or anything like that. But 4x warp killed me at the end.
  19. Until I finish this session of bowel purge, I won't be able to upload pictures. Thankfully, I can bump this thread with my phone, because now the Tiger 2 is out. Beat that, you Zokeasy Skunks or whatever! 360 tons to orbit with plenty of fuel to spare!
  20. Are you sure it's not KAS, Kerbal Joint Reinforcement or alternate resource panel? I'd assume ARP is the most related to GUI, and I think KAS is broken for .24.2. Also, KJR is pretty redundant now we have the rigidbody update thingy. Well, good luck.
  21. I still have yet to find a way to get symmetrical, half-split fairings. edit-1: New symmetrical fairings WIP. Based/inspired by nephf's design on his Falcon Heavy Mun (he's an engineer with SpaceX, so his rockets are very detailed and nice! Check them out!)
  22. The Tiger Ultra-Heavy Lifter Goals Produce a large-payload lifter, lifting 3.5+ meter payloads to orbit Produce vehicles of varying size for different uses If possible, pursue reusability Tiny Cat Aerospace wishes to fufill these goals, and more, in the Tiger rocket family. Expect to see huge rockets, possibly exceeding the Saturn V in size. Screenies! The following section may (sometime) be image heavy. Proceed at your discretion. Block A test 2: Fairings Complete!
