  1. Definitely get a PCIE video card. The integrated Radeon is bad. A processor wont help much either until ksp starts multicore support. I'm running an A10 6800 at 5ghz.. still lagging.
  2. Thats a reason why i made control to be my staging button, T to be my precision controls and the space bar to be my sas on/off
  3. Perhaps we can hook up the claw to it and pull it in kerban orbit?
  4. Time to make your self a "Reaver" ship? (firefly)
  5. Vehicle with a good suspension. Using the ibeams as part of the suspension to allow more flex. Mix between long control arms from the center and wishbone suspension on the wheel it self. Freelancer advanced train remake B2 bomber At last my sun...satellite.
  6. Are you running ksp from steam? If so you need to go to the steam directory. Then go to to steam apps, common, Kerbal Space program. From there you go into Saves. "Your user name" . Ships. From there you choose if u want to add planes to SPH or the Vertical assembly building. Thats the way to do it without mods.
  7. My first docking was a no RCS docking.. Didnt even know what the markers meant.. spun around quite for quite a while but eventually i got it.
  8. Sending stuff to my Jool base.. 2 research/science ships, Fuel Storage tanks, and Main center piece all together. Too many brackets but theres way too much fuel left in the launching fuel tanks to toss them out. It actually looks acceptable with the launching fuel tanks jettisoned
  9. Ha same here. Aerobreaking using Jupiters atmo And the mining outpost/truck.
  10. Sent out a Kethane probe to jools moons. I'm thinking of using Vall as my main mining base as it has low gravity.
  11. Took about a month break when .21 came out as it broke my game data. reverted back to my old version, saved my space station. After i built it up to 1k or so parts i gave up again due to the lag. After the tech tree was added i played it some more. got tired of the science, send, science, send, science, send, science, send routine so then i quit. .23 came out finished 1 mission and now finally installed some mods that are keeping the game exciting. My main problem why i keep taking brakes from the game is because of the lag. I love building stations and having to wrap it up only because of lag is just disappointing. i'm running a quad core 5.0ghz cpu, 20 gigs of ram and dual video cards (560 primary).. soon to be running a gtx 780.
  12. Whatever you do, just dont forget to back up your save data.
  13. You cannot control the ship with your kerbals inside the mobile processing lab as the lab is not a control unit so you still need a cabin. Reasons why i use it? I actually dont use it in my normal ships unless the design fits better. Personally i like the cupola. Fact is once you learn how to fly/design stuff, the beauty and style of the ship ends up winning over having as hip thats most efficient.
  14. Some of us dont like to download 18 sets of mods to add what the game should already have.
  15. I think that the reason for the tech tree is you do 2 missions and unlock half the tech tree therefore the order tends to be irrelevent. Sure that doesnt mean it should be left if it can be fixed however IMO its a low priority vs other stuff that should be done.
  16. Depends on the weight of my rockets. Normal well ballanced rockets, i start angling at 8-10k and be at about 45 degrees by 15k. On top heavy rockets that are not very controllable (aka space station modules) I start my turn at about 20k.
  17. This sums it up pretty good... Aka a 1 frame per 5 minute slide show because of 800 ton space stations.
  18. I voted its somewhat over rated. Fact is graphics are bad, single core support only, very little parts come stock, no achievements, many bugs, very slow progress.. this game is now 2 years old. That sums it up. Dont get me wrong, i love the game but its definitely not up to 2014 standards. In my opinion if it had competition of the same genre, if it wasnt the only fat cat in town, the results would be quite different.
  19. Is it possible to get a "light pack" version of the mod? One with 2 parts of rotating motors (say 1 small 1 large), 2 parts of hinges and 2 parts of pistons? Just a simple mod with the least extra parts as possible?
  20. Odds are that this is the limit of your motherboard. My stats.
  21. Because theres no currency in the game at the moment. If there were money that you earn in the game and you needed that money to build the ship and you got money for returning it in 1 piece you'll try to get the ship back in a single piece.
  22. I've learned that we've been lied to all along (or not been getting the entire story) You know the common "if you push an object it will keep going in that direction.." well they neglected to mention the part where you'd have to be away from any gravitational interference.. That said it completely ruined a lot of movies for me now that i'm applying that fact.. one of them being "Gravity" with the stations and satellites being at different levels yet colliding and falling back to earth. All i could think of is NO THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN UNLESS THEY SLOW DOWN THEIR ORBITAL VELOCITY.
  23. Thats the texture used to show the planet from extremely far away.. aka from another planet. As you get further and further away from the planet the level of detail decreases. First the textures of the planet decrease, then one by one the level of detail gets lesser and lesser to lessen the strain on the system. This image is the last bit. That is the least level of detail texture to represent Kerbin. Say youre on Moho and u look in Kerbins direction, that blueish dot is what you'd see in the night sky. That said it's indeed that is always there. Just the size of the image gets larger or smaller based on your distance to the planet. The texture it self is not a bug. Clipping through the higher quality terrain while still in distance is the bug.
