Me, I'm with Geschosskopf. I don't see why having life support is a good thing in the vanilla career. If you want something realistic, try a real time game to the moon, or to orbit without warping. Takes a good solid ten minutes. I don't want a simulator, I want an arcade game, a bit of fun. Not worrying about kerbals dying from lack of life support. Not worrying about whether or not you packed enough support for your stranded kerbal on the moon. If it did happen, make an option to disable it.

First time landing on the mun without mechjeb and unlimited fuel.

Mun, because the craters give you such a big workout, there's such a wealth of amazing scenery, and it can be tricky landing. Also because you can be minimalism.

My abort system is simple. It activates the second last decoupler and a sideways radial along with a normal rocket. As soon as I get clear of the debris, I either activate the landing gear and land manually or chute.

It is a bug. It occurs because of the terrain rendering system and unity can't cope together. I'd love to say that its a feature, but honestly...bug, but kept in.

I've got 3 Kerbs on Eeloo, with about a quarter full fuel tank. 2 kerbs on Dres just waiting for rescue, and had 5 on the way to jool system, except the rocket went phhht, and failed to get up to speed. resulted in my aborting the mission, and returning to Kerbin.

I've been a user of this mod, lots of fun, but do you have plans to add Olympus Mons, Cyberia and so forth to the Mars Analogue? Perhaps even replacing the spoilers with the new spoilers (Cyberia face and so forth?)

To the OP. To mechjeb or not to mechjeb, that is the question. But the answer does not come from those who dislike or like mechjeb. Rather, it must come from your own self. Do you feel like using mechjeb is the answer? It's still a sandbox game, so cheating doesn't exist. I've mechjebed and I've gone vanilla. Both have their plus and minus points. But only one will be, in the end....the answer.
