  1. Yeah... I just tried landing with the docking adapter on the front and it wasn't pretty. Definitely will be putting it on the back in the future.

  3. Bit of strange behaviour of the thrusters... they appear to reset to pitch trim 0 when shut down, and snap back to 14 when activated once again. I first noticed this in 1.09, and I'm reasonably sure it wasn't present in 1.08 and earlier. Does not interfere with functionality in any way, but does look a bit off, I think.
  4. Strange. They both behave in exactly the same way for me.
  5. When manually building the KSO, I find that the left/right wing flaps aren't properly aligned with the rest of the model. If placing them in line with the baked-in control surface that's already on the wing model, the edge of the flap will be indented when looking at the wing from above. And if placing the edge of the flap in line with the edge of the wing, the flap will jut out below the plane of the wing.
  6. Would it be possible to add payload modules that fit the KSO's cargo hold more exactly at some point in the future? 1.25m parts leave a bit too much room, and 2.5m parts are too big to fit. Perhaps one for liquid fuel/oxidizer, monopropellant, KAS parts, life support supplies, etc. And, of course, thanks for a phenomenal bit of work on this mod, fellers!
  7. There appears to be a bug with the vertical stabilizers. Placing them at a slightly steeper angle to each other (60 degrees as opposed to the 90 degree angle on the example KSO craft provided) appears to bork the centre of lift. I'm not completely sure if this is simply a VAB display error, or if it also reflects the KSO's handling characteristics. Edited for precision and redundancy.
  8. Yesss, that would be excellent. I'd personally love to see a service module fuel tank topped by a simple sloped 2.5m attachment instead of the current avionics ring/decoupler combo (essentially the service module sliced off at the base of the avionics ring, and forming a flat 2.5m attachment surface). One problem I've run into is that your service module decoupler seems to be specifically tailored for an LV-909, and seems to attach to the 909 and not the service module itself. Would it be possible to have two attachment nodes at the bottom (in the same location) instead of one? Engine snaps to one, and decoupler snaps to the other. Would also remove the need for including a fairingless 909 as part of the mod, and could potentially open it up to being used for things like docking ports. However, clipping issues? Worth investigating?
  9. I'd use the heck out of that PA550 inflatable habitat if the bottom attachment point was a 2.5m - awkward turning it back into a 2.5m with an adapter + struts.
  10. Say, would it be at all possible to include the old hollow SAS ring models as alternates, like you've done with the cupola? Thanks for keeping this updated!
  11. I've actually had good luck using the 2.5m reaction wheels as a service module. The radial symmetrical stuff can be done with stock, but I'm almost sure you're going to need Editor Extensions to fit anything in the middle without it occupying the base part's attachment point.   12. KSPX has 0.625m reaction wheels, doesn't it? So it's only a matter of time before you get your wish for stock ones. Hopefully they get around to integrating some more of the KSPX parts into the stock catalogue in future patches. For me, I would love the following: Thin 2.5m & radial cylindrical versions of the Materials Bay The current module I feel works fine on early 1.25m ships, but becomes a hassle/eyesore to include in 2.5m ones, as well as in multiples using the revised system in 0.23. 1.25m inline Mystery Goo Container So you don't have to bring two on every ship just to maintain symmetry. 1.25m & 2.5m cargo bays Preferably with doors, and preferably with a set of interior attachment points that don't require excessive fiddling with Editor Extensions. Going to echo OP's request by chucking in a further one for coverage of the other fuselage formats. Collapsible rover wheels Not quite "simple," but it would be fantastic if the rover wheels could be folded in much like the landing gear or solar panels.
  13. Apologies if this has been discussed already in the previous 98 pages, but does this mod give the capability to disassemble ships for the RocketParts resource? I.e. can we recycle empty fuel canisters, broken ships in orbit, etc. for RocketParts or is launching containers from Kerbin the only way to get that resource (I exclude Kethane from this, assuming a vanilla install with only this mod)?
