Use it to anchor asteroid bases. Been thinking up designs for modules all day...

I can get both using KJR!

Coming home from a trip to the Mun.

There's nothing to apologize for, man. I think everyone in this thread is appreciative that you're continuing to work on this mod at all, no matter how long it may take between updates.

No, killing and borderline torture are not acceptable means of advancing our technical expertise. This is speaking in absolute terms, of course. As this society already teaches children it's alright to murder non-humans to satisfy their gluttony, teaching them that the practice of shooting animals into space to observe the colourful ways in which they die is acceptable is neither more nor less ethically bankrupt, relatively speaking.

I suspect the only reason it's being wrapped separately (as DLC) is because of the NASA collaboration. Not that I would mind throwing more money Squad's way, but paid DLC on a game that isn't finished approaches the EA level of greasiness.

What style do you want the SLS parts to be?
Bomoo replied to Comrade Jenkens's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Also consider that you don't need nearly as much juice to get into LKO as is the case with LEO, meaning that SLS analogue parts could, I would argue, be comfortably scaled down even further to 3.75m. -
[0.23] Panda Jager Laboratories Parts Pack
Bomoo replied to Sethnizzle's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Heya. Any plans to add a radial atmosphere sensor? Apologies if this has been asked or answered previously in the thread. And thank you for a fantastic stock-alike mod. -
Oh wow, that's just what I've been looking for. Thanks, dude!

An inline 2.5m combination materials bay/goo canister would be loverly as well. What I do in the present version is simply clip them inside the body of my landers.
-
Well, they said it's a free DLC, but it will be separate from 0.24 from what I understand. From what I've pieced together, they plan to first update KSP to 0.24 and include all the new parts and features, and the actual NASA scenario (in the free DLC) will come after.
-
I believe they suggested that all the new parts and features will be stock, and that the asteroid retrieval mission will merely be a scenario using those new stock features.
-
Very curious to see the new parts. Given that they're talking about them being kerbal SLS analogues, I'm crossing my fingers for a 2.5m SRB capable of allowing for an Ares I-style design.

Newest Squadcast: Highlights, lots of new info about .24
Bomoo replied to Shuttle's topic in KSP1 Discussion
So it doesn't sound like there'll be a full asteroid belt, but simply randomly generated asteroids being flung at Kerbin's SOI. -
Leythe, here we come.

KSO with some of my own boosters and a few minor modifications. I love the texture work on the bundled KSO boosters, but I simply can't find a use for them in my space program. Possibly on another craft.

I suppose, but that's kinda cheaty imo. Prefer overcoming a design challenge to exploiting an oversight in game mechanics.

One issue I can see with ditching/pickup by the tug is if the module gets into a spin. How are you going to steady it? With that in mind I was thinking of clipping this package into each of these things simply to provide some stability before the tug pickup. The other option would be fitting a 1.25m port onto the "top" and using that as the tug attachment point.
