  1. I use Junior Docking clamps on my missiles and bombs so that I wont need to have cubit struts and their decouples. (aerodynamically its bad.) Just a little tip if you would like to try out. You can do whatever you like. Great craft btw, haven't seen anyone recreate this bird.

  3. From the pictures it looks like you got into space, NOT orbit. Please list the periapsis and apoapsis ( with or without an image)
  4. May i ask how it is an advanced airplane>? The op is quite...short in words.
  5. Quite a nice plane. Reminds me of the spirit of St. Louis type due to cockpit positioning.
  6. Make the struts under the wings. Fix landing gear. Try having 2 side to side on each rear canard. Add more control surfaces to the front canard while removing some from the middle. Also select some fuel tanks and lower the amounts in them at the SPH.
  7. I approve. I assume/ recommend using part welder. It helps with the large part counts for relays.
  8. Make sure you are clicking research, and not the part picture.
  9. Make sure the green circles align with the part you are placing and the part you are attaching to. Some parts can be radialy attached and that is whats happening. Change your camera angle as well in the VAB (using your mouse) and try to clicp the 2 green orbs together and they should lock in place. Make sure you have the setting to snap at angles.
  10. All i did was a few minor changes. Havent really messed with the fuel fuselages, due to the com/col being very near the front (due to me messing around). Ill see what i can ravel up. I really dont know how to post craft files other than email or making a [.code] thing
  11. K-2e notes you need to strut down the wings or else they flap so much And you were right about the pitch up tendency. Ferrams mod tended to snap the plane in half many times in flight. Mainly due to the bug of stuck landing gear in the ground. also you have wayyyy too much fuel. Also i tested it out with a front air intake, B9 of course, and it increased max alt to 26-27.5 km i belive.
  12. If you can edit it to a bicycle landing gear design ( or perhaps using orver wheels which are lighter) and reducing some air intakes, it can increase performance. Ill see if I can edit it to be improved and ill test it out with ferams later today and ill get back to you.
  13. Can you add gimbals to the turbo jets? So they could be directed downward for the launch, increasing thrust, then spread out for the safety.
  14. When you first start the game with a new fresh map sat, it hangs. be patient, its generating a elevation file and png images.
  15. Word of advice, ram air intakes are much better than circular intakes. And circulars are better than radial. Nice work on the missile designs btw. Can we see a boxed fin bomb as well? Too bad your missiles use those ugly textured fuel tanks. Ruins the cosmetic appearance. Hope they get replaced in the next update.
  16. There was a guy who made a fully functional stock shuttle and launcher, which can replicated most of the shuttle moves. however his post were like 4 months ago, and my hunting yields no result. his name was natiso or somthing... Sorry to disapoint
  17. Hello fellow kerbalaughts. I present to you, a 4 month project of my idea of a ssto ship, the Hammer Head. I designed this at first to have a cosmetically appealing aircraft with no weird intake air spam or crazy design. Orginally it was an UAV with the dual intakes at the front, but the offset weight made me run into the infiglide bug. I quickly ran this copy up and tested it so features are missing, however it performed really good. Key and missing items: -5.52: 2 Intake to engines (2.76: 1) -Agile, able to make at least 5g turns. -75km Periapis obtained -72 m/s max obtained acceleration -RTG -SAS -Ejection system. -6.5T empty mass. -Docking port. -No RCS. The next version will have it. -No orbital engines. Will add radial lvn engine -Forgot to add a ladder. -Forgot sepratron boosters. Download link in the final prototype. Otherwise this is simple to recreate with pictures. The next version will be called the Wave Rider, due to the fact i was skipping off the attmosphere like a surfer; and where i offically acheived circumnavigation in arpox. 35 minutes. Storyboard here is a picture of it inflight [spoiler=] I took off at dark, which wasnt too hard. Next i adjusted the pitch to 40 degrees then zoom climbed to 13km where i gradually decreased the pitch by intervals of 10 degrees. Obtained 2020 m/s at 24km. This was a new achievement since i have never gone that fast. I then pitched back to 17 degrees to see if i can leave. Too much pitching induced a AP of 64 km. After falling back down and rising up, i went back to crusing altitude then tried a 8 degree pitch. 74km AP!!! Unfortuantly without speratrons or a liquid engine, i failed to achieve orbit. Overshot the landing by 19 km. D'oh. took me 4 minutes to circle back and land, for an overall time of 39 minutes. I had only 50 units of fuel to spare. Jebediah has done it agian. (Also spoilers seem not to work. Had to reduce images to just links for now.) Sorryies
  18. Ive tried a similar design just like your ship. the problems i ran into.... 1. The center of mass requires a counter mass at the opposite side of your space shuttle. 2. The ships engine and the rocket it is attached too must run out of fuel at the same time. 3. doing the apogee burn (once u get into a orbit height e.g. 78km) causes it to flip over, requiring you to ditch the main stage.

  20. Just found a bug. ISA MapSat worked fine for a few weeks until today i checked my map, and it was all gray. I lost all my progress.
  21. You are able to build your own missle. You are given 2 nose cones, 1 body (decoupler) and 1 end booster. Attach the 3 given fins any way you find suitable. To launch make sure the booster is on the decoupler stage.
  22. At first i wanted to test if our kerbals can leave a plane mid flight. It worked. But coincidentally the pilot was Jebediah. This inspired me to see what you guys could come up with. Like crazy stunts people used to do mid flight in bi planes and stuff.
  23. I half expected a icbm in there. A folding missle if that was possible. You should fix this so the box dosent blow up during launch. nice work anyways. Its like a ship carrying a harrier around to be deployed.
  24. Please add screen shots so we can get a idea of it instead of having to download it and see.
