Can't find lv909

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I can't find anymore LV-909 ("terrier) engine which I usually use as my last stage, as it's small and powerful.

Instead I can see RT-5 ("flea") booster. I tried new game, but it's the same. I do see LV-909 in my Technology tree ("Survivability") though.

Is this some known change in new KSP release (1.0.2), or maybe some bug with my installation?

Thanks in advance!

All - Thanks for the responses.

For some reason it's listed both in Survivability and Advanced rocketry for me.

After I researched it in Advanced rocketry, too, I got it now.

@goSlash27 - at this stage, I am playing game from the beginning in Science mode, I think 909 will save me lot of hassle as other engines are pretty heavy for command module only... :)

Thanks again!

That sounds like you may have a slightly botched install. I'd recommend backing up your save file and then doing a clean install; chances are there may be other issues you haven't noticed or encountered yet.

I already backed up before and this is actually restored game from that backup. But actually when I restored it, it didn't have my saved games (!).

I used backup/restore via Steam.. so maybe something is honky with the installation as you said.

Maybe I'll go with new game although it can be a bit time-consuming to do everything from the scratch ^__^

Thanks again!

Your saves go under SteamApps/common/Kerbal Space Program/saves/<name of save>. Just fish that folder out, put it somewhere safe, have steam reinstall the game from scratch, then copy the folder back. It should work just fine. Verify cache integrity *might* work, but I wouldn't trust it personally :)
