Blender help!

Recommended Posts

The way I do it is with a object offset array modifier on the part I want to pattern.

To do this first create a empty, this will be the center of rotation.

Rotate the empty along the axis you want to create the array around 360/n degrees.

Then move the part you want mirrored in object mode to the same spot as the empty, this is not required but if skipped the blender array will be rather nonsensical.

Highlight your mesh and go to Modifier->Array and uncheck everything but 'Object Offset' and select your empty in the dropdown menu.

Selected the amount of arrayed features you want.

Now all you need to do is to move your mesh in edit mode and it should 'mirror' in as many directions you want.

Hitting apply will finalize the array and give the other parts editable vertices.
