I am finally deciding to jump into development.

I noticed a lack of suitable upper stages for the 1.75m fuel tanks, and decided to design a fairly realistic package...

I call it Transtage, since that is the inspiration for it.

You need a different modeling software :P

Sketchup doesn\'t work for KSP...

For the node_collider, or for the file format?

If it\'s node_collider, my understanding is that those are the little glowing balls for attachment. If I am correct, I can input those manually into the part.cfg file. If not, I may need help froma Blender user.

For the file format? I have my resources... ;)

Welllll... I don\'t have Blender. I used to, but never could make heads or tails of it. Usually, when I needed the elements of it, I... subcontracted... the work to an expert, and gave them due credit for their efforts. I am more of a design it, then figure out how to make it work in the sim/game..

What formats can SketchUp export?

it can do DAE and KML by default.

There are a bunch of plugins(written in ruby) to expand it. For instance I use a plugin to export STL\'s for my printer, I\'ve also seen an autocad plugin

MaverickSawyer, the node collider is just a very basic convex mesh named node_collider, attachment points are different and can be added in the cfg file.

If you just use Blender to convert the file to DAE you can avoid all it\'s trickyness, I wonder though if there is a program that can just do the conversion for you, and isn\'t itself a 3D modeller?
