Short cargo/service bays?

Anyone know if there are any mods that add relatively short/flat cargo bays? Sometimes I want to just add a small bay to e.g. a return capsule for some instruments/batteries/etc but there's no way of doing that without radically changing the dimensions of the vessel since the existing bays are so tall. Anyone know if any mod can help me out here?

B9 has short 1.25 & S2 bays ( S2 is 2.5m with 8 sides ).

No my point is precisely that the stock service bays are too tall relative to their diameter - I need something flatter

Just what do you want to put in theses bays? You might be better off doing some easy config file editing to make a electric, science, monprop, probecore, radio combo part. 

Just making a new part to your specifications with just some existing models and a text editor is easy and kraken free. It's also a completely balanced and legitimate way to play (It's a single player game and squad forfeited all right to judge anyone when they let the game go this long without a proper balance pass join the revolution comrade seize the balance they will not give us for yourself )

Why not just add this to a part you want to use like a probe core ?

Oooh, these seem to be all tweakscaleable, so that actually could work quite nicely. Thanks.

And thanks for the config editing tips - wanted to see if there was anything available off the shelf first!
