1.4.1 Unable to complete tourist orbit mission

I started a new career game for 1.4 and have run into this issue:

I have a few tourist missions that require suborbital flight and orbit around kerbin.  The suborbital flight worked just fine but I cannot complete the orbital requirements even though I'm clearly in orbit.  I didn't have this problem in 1.3. 

When I land my ship my pilots leveled up, so the game definitely knows that I've achieved orbit, but the mission is not completing.

I have consistent problems with Tourism missions since the DLC landed.....It seems completely hit or miss as to weather or not they will complete...Hopefully they will fix this quickly was really excited to use the new Soyuz pods for this in career...now i'm just ignoring the missions altogether until they drop a patch.
