need an engine for your cube sat? its still being tested so no word as to what the thrust or isp is going to be, but its being designed for the pocketqube form factor.

I remember a description claiming that blasting a piece of PVC was a good way for cubesats to move around.  I think the idea was to vaporize the PVC (not quite as advance as turning it into plasma) and use that as rocket exhaust.  Presumably using an electric arc to vaporize a bit of PVC.
