can physical time warp be applied in space?

When using ion engines to do manouvers, it usually requires a quite long accleration time to reach the delta v required. A physical warp would help a lot by speeding up this process.

Is there anyway to start a physical warp in space (either in the stock game or require a certain mod)? If there is one, please tell me. Thanks a lot!

I do know that a physical warp activated in an atmosphere would be maintained when I enter space, but this would make travelling through space EVEN LONGER and therefore impractical.

Alt + . on Windows  - that dot is the normal period (or full stop) key used for time warp, so just hold down Alt first.
