Crash in VAB

[Gemspark]

I'm running ksp version 1.10.1, and I seem to constantly, but unreliably, crash in the VAB. I'm only running a couple mods, and i've tried the other solutions like restarting and verifying cache, and even a full uninstall and reinstall, but nothing seems to work. What's causing it, and how do I fix it?

Context:

I was in the VAB building a rocket when the screen turns to black, then the game crashes. I wasn't doing anything particularly straining, apart from the visual mods I have, and I wasn't placing or removing large amounts of parts, just scrolling down to see my rocket.
