Can't switch vessel in map view

Hey guys,I am encountering a very weird situation where before when i was in map view, I could simply right click another vessel and it would give me the context menu with option to switch to it. Now all right click does is toggling between highlighting or dis-highlighting the vessels name. I have tried restarting the game and my computer. I removed the few mods that i had (pictures where taken before that) But the problem persiststed in stock. First pic shows before i right clik the vessel, second click after.
Both vessels contain a kerbal, both kerbals are mine (no rescue mission).

Anyone encountered this and know what the problem is? Any help would be much appreciated

I have tried left and right and any combination of modifiers combined with click, on about everything. Nothing gives me a context menu for switching.

Are you playing a career game?  If so, the TS (Tracking Station) needs to be upgraded to Level 2 to be able to switch to other vessels in-flight.  You can still switch to other vessels from the TS though.

I have no idea why the game would function that way, or how long that 'feature' has been present.
