Why is KSP crashing when loading a new scene, and most often when loading the Hangar?

KSP has started crashing to desktop when I change to a new scene - Spaceplane Hangar, Tracking Station, new ship, etc.

The crashes aren't very frequent, and they started around the time that I enabled Extra Launchpads but I don't know if this is connected (bought the DLCs and wanted to use their features into a previously existing savegame).

Why are these crashes happening?

hmmmm I had the same problem but only with the tracking station in the "dawn of the space age" mission.

I sometimes have this problem.

First off

Specs? What are they? I have 8GB of ram, it might be that?

Do you have SSPX? That's causes some weird bugs.

It might just be the kraken, telling you to go outside

No I don’t have sspx and I don’t know how much ram and stuff I have cause it’s my dad’s computer

And also for some reason the vab was locked but I still had to make jebnik 1.

for you did it only crash in the main game or in missions? And what mods do you use?
