KSP on the news

According to this Spanish news channel, China has built the world's fastest super computer. An engineer is quoted as saying that, among other uses, this computer will allow them to simulate manned missions to the moon. "This will make their designs safer and more efficient".Their choice of video footage to accompany this is simply hilarious, and not too reassuring on the "safer" part.

Enjoy!

Antena 3, one of the biggest tv channels in Spain. I watched it live, as I was having dinner, and I almost choked.
Why would they use KSP footage for this? I think this was actually from Scott Manley.

The Chinese did it - a supercomputer so powerful it can run KSP without lag!
do you really believe they use KSP to simulate aircraft behavior? It would be hilarious but... Edited by Canopus

Un-twist yer panties everyone. :P

The KSP footage was added by the news coverage and is not a program actually run by the supercomputer. Other news agencies reported the story, but none showed KSP. It's mostly city planning simulations.

Of course it was. Who would believe that the Chinese use this as simulation?

"In latest news, China's production of solid rocket fuel has increased by over 3000%. The new head of China's space programme, identifying himself as Dzhie Be Dia, justified this expense by claiming "moar boosters". When asked how this would impact the safety of the spacecraft being launched, the response was "space tape solves everything". Film at 11."
