Mission reports from my own Space Program

Haha! It was fun writing about some paranoid Kerbals! Thanks for the comments, folks!! The second probe-mission to Eve is up for reading! Sig in the link.

Edit: Yes, the mysterious LDV explosion! In all honesty, I am really not sure what happened there. Nibbled by the Kraken, I think! But the Eve lander has also shut down. I think something is hindering the exploration of my Kerbals!!

But, in actual fact, I upgraded to Remote Tech 2. That caused me a HUGE headache trying to upgrade and re-link all my vehicles. Jeb had never been Hyper-edited so much!! But the Eve lander had served it's purpose, so I thought I'd leave it to rest in peace.

Glad to here you're in business once again, Akinesis. I was wondering where I was going to find my "fix" from once you dropped off the radar :P

Also, would it be appropriate to say at KSC that "This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius"? :wink:But seriously, I do like seeing little in-jokes and things like that.

And the Munar program is on the cusp of ignition! I'm just finishing tweaks to the vehicles - I can't seem to stop fiddling with finished vehicles!

In the meantime, my probe reached Duna. Read about it through the link in my sig.

You and me both. Sometimes I'll take a look at a design I "finished" weeks ago and think to myself, "Wouldn't it be so much better if I somehow got it to [do this totally unnecessary thing] as well as what I designed it for?" or "Do you think it could still [do this mission] if I added / removed / moved / changed this part for that part?" Then some hours later, I'll realize I haven't actually gotten any flying done :P

As always, keep up the good work!

I am done tweaking! No more!

The Aquarius Project is finally underway! Link is in the sig...

@Specialist290 - the problem is, as well, I finish up and go to bed, but then lay there as another 20 ideas flood my mind. Then the next day I start again! It's so hard to switch off...

  • 2 weeks later...

The next post is up. I've just discovered Fasa's launch towers, too. This has been greatly missing from my personal immersion experience!

So, Aquarius X was successful. Although I have done the Aquarius XI mission, I'm moving house this week and won't have internet for a short while. So there will be a slight delay in posting...

Best of luck with the move. Hope to see the mission writeup for Aquarius XI soon!

As for the little incident with the Aquarius X: I'm finding that situation a bit too contrived to be believable. Surely something like that would never actually happen here in the real world, right?

The short-fueling, of course. I mean, surely in our world, the administrators would trust the astronauts in question to be professional enough not to pull a silly stunt like that, right?

I kid, of course. As always, I like sly little references to real-world events like that.
