Does the patcher work yet?

I've just came back to the game after getting tired of it, and i've noticed a few versions have gone past. I'd like to know if the patcher works yet, because 1: last time I played it wasn't working and 2: I have crappy 1Mb download/500Kb upload internet speeds.

Well, it DOES work, sometimes. I used it for 0.20 but not 0.21 as for it wasn't really working. Still, you can try

And to be safe, make a back up of your KSP_win folder (or KSP_OSX/KSP_Linux if you aren't using windows), the patcher have been known to fiddle with the files so the game is, in worst case unplayable. (Can't remember if it was able to delete save files).

The patcher will not make it quicker to download, and 1mb isn't too bad. it won't take that long to download.

It looks like it's largely using rsync now, which means it should be reliable, and quite low traffic - making a copy of the KSP folder just in case is not a bad idea.
