So I haven't forgotten about this or abandoned it - I decided to remake the UVs and textures and it provided me with a whole lot to do and not much to show for it. At least I found out there's a right and really wrong way to set up UVs for use with normals. Anyway, it looks a whole lot like the Orion, doesn't it?

Retextured to look pretty much the same as before.

I can always a new good capsule, particularly one that meshes well with the stock parts (as I think this one will). It won't be too out of place on K&W either I think.

I'm really liking the look of that, I think the two windows on either side of the hatch might look a bit better if they have grey borders that look like the other side windows.

I found it, immediately saw things I didn't like, and proceeded to edit some .cfgs. the end result:

my particular version (because of how small I noticed it was) has reduced torque and a crew of only 2.

Original Apollo had RCS, right, but no reaction wheels? Well, if one wants to go full Apollo workalike, ModuleReactionWheel does not have to use ElectricCharge. It can be monopropellant.

You are an inspiration! I just started learning to make 3d models a few weeks ago. I hope that I can make ships as detailed as your Apollo clone someday. I also love how well it jives with the rest of the KSP aesthetic. Great job!

yes, but, Its not that I don't like the drogue, its that I don't like it being attached to the top, in the sense that I can't change it out for a different docking port, but its a minor complain[t].
