2m fueltank makeover

with the addition of the new and beautiful 3m fuel tanks and even the old 1m tanks looking way better, would you like to see a makeover/re-texture of the 2m tanks? and i'm not speaking of the iconic orange one, but the hideous grey steel barrels. i know, kerbals build their stuff out of things laying on the side of the road, but somehow they just don't really fit in anymore.

I feel the space plane parts need the most love out of all the current parts.

The 2.5m parts fit in some designs such as remaking the Delta IV launcher (ULA). Yea they aren't the most amazing things, but then again they do represent the what Kerbal Space Program designs themselves. The new parts look amazing mainly because NASA built them, and they are essentially those parts in the game.

Visual upgrades are always welcome, but a full rework of spaceplane parts with reskin seems more important. Before the new parts, the current 2.5m parts where the "best" looking ones.

I'll be honest, I agree with the distaste towards the barrel design. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the wide rim at the ends of the tanks. I think a re-model wouldn't be an unreasonable idea from an art style aspect

The models are fine, but they could use a retexturing. Though I would hate to see the orange tank change color, it's practically iconic.

Not really a big priority, I think, there are bigger fish for the devs to fry.

IMO, the worst offenders are the barrel fuel tanks and the ugliness that is the Mk. 3 cockpit. Everything else is at least passable...

I'm okay with the orange and second smallest one, but the other two look like oil drums. Also, the wide rims detract from a rockets' aesthetic appeal and make it look cobbled together.

I'm ok with the oil drums, but the second smallest one looks like it's made of corrugated fiberboard.

yea, the barrel fuel tanks and some of the plane parts shouls be updated.
