Faster than light

Well this is my first successful attempt at making my ship go faster than the speed of light WITHOUT MODS! I\'m not going to tell you how to do it, but it does involve the sun. I have a picture for proof as the attachment. Two things to note are the ship\'s name, and the mission time.

If you want to try it, you\'ll need the following:

1. Knowledge of orbit changing

2. Knowledge of rocket designs that conserve fuel

3. Patience!

I have attached a file of the ship I used. Feel free to use it or try your own and develop a technique.

And you need to not be running 0.14, or you\'ll just splat into the Sun.

That\'s true, this was done in 13. I didn\'t know 14 was out but I\'m downloading it now lol. Well I guess that\'s the end of that challenge...

i don\'t think you can crash into the sun in .14, i just dropped into an orbit of it equal to the muns orbit around kerbin, 11k.

There should be a point that everything overheats though, or at least that was planned I thought?

Heh; I will make something that won\'t need crashing into the sun (maybe a grav assist, but nothing more). Just so you know, it involves a launch platform designed for multiple uses and something I call a LREV(Long Range Exploration Vessel)
