Does the Kerbalized version of Starship have a name yet? if not, I vote Spaceboat.

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
marko dash replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
is there an option to get the HD kerbin textures without the clouds and all the rest? was trying to layout a waypoint path for a mechjeb rover to follow but it kept getting caught on some fairly steep slopes that just don't appear on the fuzzy stock map. -
totm nov 2023 SpaceX Discussion Thread

if they're able to place the roadster in a Mars orbit do you think it'd be possible for a later mission to recover it and land it on Mars? as an electric car it wouldn't have any issue driving on mars other than the lack of decent off-road capability. -
and decapitate super mutants with hi velocity teddy bears. but back on topic, is it possible in-game to use your exhaust as a shield? IIRC it works IRL, almost like digging a tunnel through the atmosphere.

I use mechjeb for almost everything, i can do everything manually esp. with all the new aids, but with my low framerate mechjeb is just better. I rarely kerbin SoI, i've been everywhere once or twice but mostly i clutter local space with refueling stations, power stations, and mun/min bases. ps. also i am not nearly as active on the forums as i should be given the length of time i've been a member. (i remember the pre-symmetry days and that big cheaty pumpkin tank that was one of the first mods)

looks almost like she should be an early pixar character. which makes me think that a pixar KSP movie would be 42 kinds of awesome.

What you did in the good ol' days.
marko dash replied to MedwedianPresident's topic in KSP1 Discussion
no map, no symmetry, no rcs, no asas. my first basic rockets were lucky if they got suborbital. -

i had just figured on uploading the part text, but it wont let me do that ether, oh well. the process is really simple. you just find which tech level you want each part to go into and put it in right above the 'cost' part of the part text. note: you will next both the 'required tech' line and the 'entry cost' line, this is different from the 'cost' already in the text. you will also need to go into the in-game tech tree and individually click on any parts in sections that you have already researched. after that everything seems to work fine.

different culture, different value of their lives. manned would be much cheaper if you didn't care as much about the safety of the crew.
-
1. How did you do that? 2. Does it work 3. Where can we get it 4. when is the SSTO launch to give the Arkbird it's laser cannon happaning
-
Humanity won

the order of the options look pretty good for a to-do list 1. resources, so that there's something to accomplish once we get to the other bodies, plus good reasons for using satiltes and rovers ahead of manned missions 2. carreer, to have a limited budget so mining your own resources mean something 3. aero fixes, so sleeker rockets actually help and planes behave like they should everything else on that list isn't really needed right now

duct tape and WD-40

in order? start with expanding our presence in orbit, orbital construction of a 'pure space' earth-moon relay ship, permanent lunar base, lagrange point centrifuge gravity station, lunar colony, manned mars mission, asteroid mining, mars base, mars orbital station, mars colony.

Simplifying the kerbin ocean.
marko dash replied to Dafas's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
the ocean on kerbin exists under the terrain it'self so even in areas with no visible water you still have extra lag from it. -
Bill Nye on "Could we stop an asteroid?"
marko dash replied to PakledHostage's topic in Science & Spaceflight
could we stop it, maybe/maybe not. would we try? hell yes. if we have enough warning you'd probably see a few ground launched orions. whats a little radioactivity in exchange for diverting a planet killer. they could 'land' on their nose and act like giant thrusters to adjust the asteroids path. -
think of it like a kickstarter, those of us who funded the game when it was trying to get started get a bonus now that it's successful and running.

Which update has been the best thus far?
marko dash replied to MacDuckenstein's topic in KSP1 Discussion
1st: .18 for docking, a true game changing update 2nd: .14 for multi-flight gameplay
