KSK - short for Kerbin shattering kaboom.

Attributed to some unknown kerbal in Mission Control the first time I managed to get something to orbit, and best said in your best Marvin the Martian voice:

"There was no kaboom? No Kerbin shattering kaboom..."

When I was in kindergarten and needed a name for a runescape account I couldn't think of one so I asked my brother for help. At the time I was looking at a fishing book so I treid the name Panfish but that was taken so I added the 5.

Do I need to explain?

If yes, it's from minecraft. Of course "Endermen" was taken, I didn't even try it (I first used the name for minecraft itself, and have kept it with everything i've made since) and i figured nobody had thought of slapping a "s" between ender and men. so i did. and put one on the end to. And Viola, Endersmens.

oooooo.... This thread has been waiting for me. Here we go.

Way back in the 90's when hotmail started becoming a thing (at least for me) I realized that i had a chance to grab a really awesome one. I was able to nab "DragonMaster" Before anybody else!

Then I forgot my password.

I can't remember if they didn't have a good password recovery option, or I just didn't know how. But I was heart-broken. All the other cool names had been taken, so my brother decided to cheer me up by figuring out a new name. I didn't like any of his suggestions until he said "King of them all". Wham, taken. The only problem was that i couldn't use spaces (and didn't yet know about underscores).

Kingofthemall. see anything wrong with that?

So I settled with the title godmafia. Had a nice ring to it. But since then I kept getting hounded by religious fanatics for some reason or another. So when I got the job ziplining and became the in-house trainer, I realized I had a zip mafia.

So I switched to Zipmafia, and have never looked back (until now).

The Jolly Roger is a black flag with a skull and cross-bones, and generally an indication of pirates. I love the irony in the name, it also happens to be the name of my ship. There's not enough space pirates in this game!

All KSP images have been moved here.

YAY I can finally explain the extremely convoluted story by witch I got mine.

So first the MC stands for master craftsman,an allegory to my stride to become a Renaissance man(being proficient in all of the activities in the artistic circle).

While steel goes back to my real last name ÖõÃȄÂ÷úþò(Jeliazkov)meaning iron with the slavic naming suffix -ov, and because MC-Iron does not sound especially pleasing I swapped it to its better sounding cousin, steel.

And while this alias is heavily charged with my personality and took a bit of thinking to come up with it is also in an unfortunate position that it just sounds like a generic rapper named steel and a name that a 5 year old hoodlum would choose because it sounds "cool".

  • 4 months later...

There is a scene in Matrix where morpheus just taps one button on his slide mobilephone and just says "Tank we need an exit" i found this very cool as a kid/teenager so i decided that it will be my nickname and 2333 because Tank is taken ofcourse everywhere (now i think i should have chosen a round number)

before that i had DeadSurvivor as a nick because i thought it was super funny back then... times are changing :D

Piplup + Pipcard

But lately, I've been thinking of changing my internet moniker to "mikusingularity, "which has three meanings:

- Miku (my favorite singer and fictional character) meaning "future"

- singularity as in "technological singularity"

- sing(ing) is what Miku does

(Also, back in 2009, I named my newly-created YouTube channel "piplupsingularity" as a shallow parody of a Google April Fool's joke.)

Mine is a two-part (obviously).

Sierra is a gamer alias I have been stuck with since I was 13 and has been incorporated into pretty much every username since then with the exception of my MMORPG characters (there's a story for that too).

The Captain part is simply because Sierra is almost universally taken so one day I just randomly elected to append a military rank onto it (this was back in Planetside). I've always liked the ring of Captain so that was that.
